WHY???? why has everyone begun to quit? scratch is a COMMUNITY not a bully convention! honestly don't be mean! If you do not like someone's work, either leave constuctive critsizam or KEEP YOU THOUGHTS TO YOUR SELF!-for the bullies-
Everyone being bullied, please DON't threaten to quit or post a project saying "I'm quitting scratch unless..." or "IM QUITTING SCRATCH!!" you see how this is out of hand? so i understand, NO ONE likes to be bullied, but there are differnet ways to handle you problems I'll name 2.
#1. Senario: you make a project and someone leaves an offencive comment, ( that you think is offencive) . YOU DO: you can leave a comment saying you would like to either dicuss this with them and or have them apologize.
#2. Senario: Someone has left offencive comments ALL OVER you work or OTHER people's work . that is DOWN RIGHT MEAN! you can either post something up explaining your case here at the forums, or you can flag a piece of they're work and or comments and someone should be checking it soon.
if you have questions, need suggestions or something else about this topic,
PLEASE comment on it.
Thanks,

He/she is right in everything he just said. Some people quit for popularity, and come back being more popular, and some get bullied. I think its a great idea to just put them on your ignore list.

YEA! i hate that when people leave cause of popularity! ( anyways, if you want popularity, read a post i made called "search for..." somthing. i forget but you'll see it.

yeah seriously...It's kinda sad that people would quit just because they don't like a person or aren't "popular" enough. I think generally that comes with experience and patience and don't think that you should just give up.

Quitting madness is annoying. I don't like seeing posts I quit! always on the first page of new topics. And projects that are called I quit! on the front page!

THATS ok for people to do that, but i hate when people post PROJECTS up on scratch that say, " i quit unless..." luvits, galleries, comments etc. thats what i mean.

This here is a really nice scratcher. Can you guys help me convince him?
Look at his newest project.
I considered quitting, not because of views, or fame, I considered because of what was happening in REAL life, and I just had no motovation
But I'm totally against quitting now.
Please try to help!

Hey, this should probably be a new topic, perhaps in the New Member Forum. It would get more views, and I think that it might help and be more effective there.

Yeah, quitting is stupid if it's about popularity and that kind of stuff
Look at my stuff
I think it's good, but not many people look at it.
I'm not quitting.
NO WAY
But it's okay to quit if you lost interest, or are going to better programming languages

That's actually not the best way to handle offensive comments. The more attention is attracted to it, the more flames and anger it will spark. The best solution is to just report the offensive comment to the Scratch Team, who will take care of it for you.
Just saying.

Wait. Why is this in the "Suggestion" forum?

The author of the thread is suggesting people not to quit, I guess.

Who cares if topics are old? They're still normal topics.

Sometimes ignoring a bully or flagging a comment is the best thing. I once found someone who stole projects from Scratch Examples, posted them as his own, and left a comment. Later, I received a reply from him saying, " Go to ****!" So I flagged the comment and put him on my ignore list.

The event this topic is discussing is way in the past and no longer relevant. I'll close it now.
