Message loading

Whenever I receive a message it doesn't notify me for more than at least 5 minutes. It gets really annoying. Is there any way to solve that?

Messages only refresh every few minutes in order to save on server bandwidth. So no, there's no easy way to fix it. Surely it's not that big of a deal if you don't see a comment until 5 minutes after it's posted?
