Every good game on Sega CD has been ported to another platform.
Sonic CD has a PC/DOS port.
Earthworm Jim is on plenty of other platforms.
Snatcher has other versions on MSX and such.
Silpheed is a port of a DOS game.
Star Wars: Rebel Assault is a port of a DOS game.
YOU DO NOT NEED A SEGA CD. I BOUGHT ONE BECAUSE I AM STUPID.

Rouge was going to be in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games as a playable character but was removed due to that her outfits were... revealing... but she was instead a rival.

That's what I was thinking. However, her removal is probably one of the smartest things SEGA has done. (putting up flame shield again) (Putting up disclaimer that I do not hate Sonic again.)
MOAR TRIVIA:
In realMYST (But not any other version/port of MYST) You can turn the tower into a cannon and get a (nonfiring) gun via a easter egg.
