Win 7 Home Premium FTW!

rdococ, why do you have a banner for "SIMPL-OS" (an obvious copy of my SIMPL-DOS), with line from MY sig in it! I would think you were advertising SIMPL-DOS, but you have made a website for "SIMPL-OS"! > sad

I do it on Windows 7 Home Prenium 64-bit.

I hate the earlier Windows OS's.

I did, in the Staples by my house. And guess what, the thing froze on me! I had to restart  it! I mean, have you ever had problems with a TEST DEMO???? Even Vista worked in the store!
BTW, I think Windows XP and earlier were a lot better than Vista and 7.

That was probably on a bad computer. If you get 7 on a well-made computer, it's excellent.

Well, let me put it this way. I've had my Mac for 2 months. I've loved it ever since I got it. When I had Vista, I was jumping off the wall, screaming, cursing the day I took my grandmother's poor money to buy this slow, noisy, bothersome machine (YEAH YOU HEARD ME RIGHT BILL GATES!). I've had TERRIBLE luck with Windows, and I'm sick of it. I will never put up with them again unless I have to for job/school. I don't think that after 4 years of screaming, cursing, and pounding my machine that I should have to waste my money and give them another chance.

BTW, my Vista computer broke after just 1 year of use. Just 1!!!! The Macs that I use at school (for computer art class) have lasted for over 10 YEARS!!! And they work pretty well, too!
Macs FTW!

1. That's Vista. Everyone knows that Vista was awful. Again, XP and 7 are much better.
2. It's not Window's fault that the computer it was on was lousy and only lasted a year. Microsoft doesn't make the hardware, just the software.

2. It's not Window's fault that the computer it was on was lousy and only lasted a year. Microsoft doesn't make the hardware, just the software.

1. I'm not willing to put up with Windows again. They made my life miserable, and I never got any good assistance to try to help me with it (I called the Windows people, and to make a long story short, they told me it was a hopeless case and would I like to buy a new improved computer with Windows 7. I was so mad I hung up on them.).
2. One of the reasons that Macs are so wonderful. Apple makes both the hardware and the software, so if something does go wrong, they know exactly what to do with it.

I have a friend at school who keeps telling me how *wonderful* Windows 7 is. So I went to her house to try for myself. I admit, better than Vista, but still lousy. I always thought (even before I joined the Mac side) that Vista was created because Bill Gates was jealous of how pretty Macs are. I admit, many bugs were cut from the system, but it was SLOW!! I'm mean, incredible low-speed SLOW! Took 3 full minutes to start up (my Mac only takes about 30-45 seconds to start up)! And it froze 4 TIMES in one setting of 45 minutes. And the problem is that when it freezes, you have to Control-Alt-Delete and lose ALL of your work! With Macs, if the computer freezes, it can usually "get back on it's feet" and start working again.

To me, Macs FTW, like always.

I actually used XP before I got my Windows 7. Trust me, 10 minutes on the computer, was like getting to a web page.

@tigerkidcub: My Win. 7 takes 10-15 seconds to start up. So you friend just got a [removed by moderator] computer that was just barely passible as 7.
