I don't get any of the techy stuff, but I'd like to help with a few ideas:
Mods - make sure you have good mods that are ready to stop fakers, an people posting inappropriate images (that's happening on iScratchers, sadly).

hey guys
um two things, first i'd recommend a two syllable name that rolls off the tongue
and second, paying for sites isn't cool, and ads aren't cool. i'm sure you could introduce ads later on, but not at the beginning.

I don't know if you guys alerady created the domain, but Byet Host is a good place. You get everything you want for the free account (MySQL, PHP, that stuff), but are limited in how big they are. Check out the features of the free hosting here.

i know that may sound harsh and it's not your fault, it's mine for not specifying that it has to be cool, a cool name is very useful.
