the story so far-

Chapter 1
Honey, I killed Alexander The Great

Ka-pow. Take that, Alexander The Great. No more taking over the world for you, I'm afraid. Napoleon next. Watch out, potential world rulers. Here comes king Quinlan the Seven-and-halfth. “Quinlan, Dinner!” Rats. Colonizing the world could wait another half hour, I thought. I ran down the stairs, almost tripping on my cat, Donn on the way down. He's actually quite a nice cat, so it surprises me why my dad called him that name. It means the mythological king of the underworld. But, then, that's my Dad for you. He is that type of person. Donn shot up and started purring and rubbing against my legs. “The fish comes later, Donn,”  I promised him. I shoved the kitchen door open. “Ahem, ahem,” my  Mum said. I forgot to close the door again. My mum has this crazy idea that in the winter, the house will turn cold if we leave doors open. Wouldn't the house just get warmer then? She probably just prefers looking at doors when theyr'e closed, rather than open. I know it sounds stupid, but hey, it was the only thing that I could think of. I closed the door. “By the way, Quilan, could you get me the salt out of the press, please? Me and my mum are big saltaholics. I supressed a laugh, while taking out the salt. I sat down at the table. While nobody was looking, I snatched it and placed the container on the floor. I looked at my plate. Brussel sprouts. Ugh. My mum had a puzzled expression on her face. She was looking around the table. This is good, I thought. “You did bring over the salt, didn't you?” she asked. “I'm pretty sure I did,” I replied. Mum stared at me hard. I burst out laughing, and so did she. “Ok sonny, where did you hide it?” she joked. “Here,”  I said, thrusting the salt container at her. She gave me her famous look-at-me-I'm-Sir.-Sugar-from-the-apprentice look, by lowering her glasses and scowling again. I sniggered. The doorbell rang. Looks like Chonglin called for me early. Good thing, too. “That's gonna be Chonglin. Iv'e got to go,” then, I added, “Don't worry about the 'sprouts. I'l be fine without them,” And I ran to door.

Chapter 2
Chonglin

“Hey, Chonglin!” I called as I ran to the front door.
“Hi Quinlan,  just look what I got for my birthday!” He was about to pull something from his pocket, when I just remebered my present for him. “Stay there, Chonglin, I'l be back in a moment,” a confused expression appeared on his face. “you'll see,” I said, and I ran up the stairs. Donn was there, and his face lit up as soon as he saw me. He meowed at me expectantly. “Later, Donn,” I called out to him on the way up. I burst into my room. The b.0.b cd was right where I left it. I grabbed it and ran downstairs, back to the front door. I gave Chonglin the cd. “My present for you,” I told him. “The adventures of billy ray!” he exclaimed. “Iv'e been wanting this for ages! Thanks so much, Quinn!” he said. “so what was that you were saying you got for you birthday?” I asked. “Oh, yes! I almost forgot, I got a psp!” “Awesome..... but I don't see any  drive for games....” “oh, yeah, about that,” he said, starting the system up. He entered the playstation shop. “You download them,” he said, indicating the “top games” section. I was amazed. How could they pack in all the huge amounts of files for a game into one single download? It was beyond me. “Well, what do you want to do?” I asked him. “We could play football or something, but not for long. I have karate practice at Seven thirty. You know how anxious my family are about keeping up our Chinese traditions,” “Yes, I see your point. We could play colonization quest, I just got to the Napoleon campaign before you came,” “Sure! We could do multiplayer co-op. I'm only on the persia campaign, you could give me some tips” So we ran upstairs to my room. I started up the game, and selected my save file. I paused the game, and went to the select campaign screen. All the levels, except the last one, (the cold war) were finished with top ranking! “Disguising your talents, are you?” Chonglin joked. I wasn't laughing. Something here was wrong. Horribly wrong. Games can't just skip to the last level like that. It's just not possible. “Chonglin, I didn't do all those levels,” I told told him sternly. “Quinn, you don't mean...” “I do. Someone's been here.”
“But, Quinn, what harm could it do...? I've never seen the last level,” he had a point. “neither have I. But I can feel wrong.” “Oh come on, not another of your 'feelings' again...” “Chonglin, I have a point. Remeber the time you were run over and had to go to hospital on life support... remember that, many months before, I predicted it...” “That was chance, Quinn. This is only a game save file,” there wasn't much I could do. He had already launched the game. The room went dark. “Chon...” I started. It was too late.

Chapter 3
Fighting in the cold war

We fell with a thud. Chonglin turned to me. “Quinn, what happened, and where are we...?” “I know where we are,” I said. That was easy,  you just had to look around to see all the tanks shooting at each other. “Look around” I told him. He looked around. Then he realized. “Wer'e in the cold war,” he told me. “Your'e correct. But perhaps what we should be worrying about is...how we are going to survive!” “Look, I told you, I only have the skills for the persian campaign,” he protested. “Oh, lord, give me a break, we just need to find some English soldiers, Don't we?” “What, you seriously think that one of them are going to help us? Are you crazy?!” “Well,” I said, “you give me a better plan.” Chonglin was beaten. I knew that. There was a soldier in the distance. “Look, Chonglin, over there!” He looked. “A soldier!” “So do you want to go over to him?” “He's our only chance.” It was decided. We ran over to him.  Before we were even over there, he had a puzzled expression on his face when he saw us. But then, so would I, if I was fighting in the year 1950 and saw two kids running towards me. It made sense. I stopped in my tracks. This young man, looked familiar in some way. Somone I knew. But who? Then it hit me. My Grandpa was born in 1928. in 2010 he was... 82. in 1950, he would have been... 22. this man looked 22, and he had the same face as my grandpa. Chonglin was wondering why I had stopped. “What's wrong?” “That man,” I said, “Is my grandpa.”

Chapter 4
Reunions

We reached my Grandpa. “Well I never, two kids out on the battlefield,” He muttered to himself. “Alright kids, time to go home to your Mommy or Daddy. This is a dangerous place for children like you,” he told us. I decided to break it to him. “wer'e time travellers. From the year 2010,” “Yeah, yeah, and pigs might fly. Just go home. I told you, it's too dangerous here,” “I'm telling you, I'm your Grandson.” At least that got through to him. “hold it kid. What's your name...?” “Quinlan O'Dara, what's more, I know that you are Cormac O'Dara,” Grandpa looked shocked. Very shocked. “Well, Grandson, We'd best get you back to your parents,” he paused. My parents hadn't been born yet, which I was about to tell him, but he understood. “Right. They aren't born yet. When, may I ask, will they be born?” “My Mum is born in 1967, and my Dad in 1965, and my Mum is the one on your side of the family,” I told him. “Oh, man. Why does my wife have to give birth to a girl?!” He said, rolling his eyes. Everything went dark again. I woke up in front of the games system, which was running the Napoleon campaign. “Chonglin, I just had a really weird dream...”  “So did I. I met your grandpa. When he was young. In the cold war,” “Chonglin, something really wrong happened there,” “Yeah, and now your'e currently on the Napoleon campaign, like you said,” “Chonglin, how did we get back here?” “Quinn, I don't know. I really don't know, but what I do know, is that if I don't get going soon, I'l be late for karate,” I glanced at my watch. Seven twenty. And with that, He ran downstairs and out the door. I went downstairs to make myself some toast. I opened the press and took out the bread, and threw into the toaster. Where was everyone? I called out for my Mum and Dad, but there was no reply. I searched the house, finding them in the living room. I walked up to them. “Mum, Dad! Iv'e been looking for you everywhere! Did you not hear me calling?” I asked them. They didn't reply. I found tapped my mum. “That's odd, I just felt something on my back...” she told Dad. “Don't worry, Darling. It was probably just your imagination.” The Doorbell rang. “I'l get it,” said my mum, running towards the front door. She opened it. Chonglin was there. “Good evening, Mrs. O'Dara, could I...” He started. “That's odd, there's nobody there...” my mum said, slamming the door in Chonglin's face. After she was gone, I opened the door again. “Quinn,” he started. “I know, I know, Have they been ignoring you too?” “yep. I can't drive to karate myself, you know,” “You had better come in,” I told him.

Chapter 5
la sua a me, Quinlan!

We ran upstairs to my room. “About this,” I told Chonglin, “It's like we never existed, and never will” “It's certainly very odd,” He said. After that there was an awkward silence. Then, Chonglin spoke up. “I want to try a different game,” he told me. “Let's try something a little bit less dangerous. Try super mario. I wasn't too sure about this, but heck, it was only a super mario game. I loaded the game. The cheerful little title screen came up. I selected the Easiest level, the first one. As with the last time, the room went dark. Everything went bright again and we fell on a goomba. It screamed and dissapeared. Mario came up to us. “la sua a me, Mario!” And I thought he spoke English. Turns out he speaks Italian. “Ummm.... Bye!” I told him, and Chonglin and I ran off.
“aha! Peach's castle!” Chonglin said, indicating a castle in the distance. We ran to it. As soon as we came near the door, it opened. We went in and the door slammed shoot behind us. It was dark, the forlorn and grey walls lit only by a few flaming torches.  This certainly couldn't be peach's castle, and the only other one was... “Chonglin, I think we got the wrong castle. I think this is Bowser's castle,” “No...” he stammered. “I-it couldn't be...” “It is,” I reassured him. We walked further in. We certianely didn't have much choice. So we continued, on tirelessly stepping over lava pools, leaping over spikes, crawling under them, and jumping on dry bone's heads. Soon, we came to a door. Usually I would just have to press the up button to get in. “What now?” I asked Chonglin. “I have an Idea. Imagine going up. Up, up, up. It should  work,” So we both Imagined ourselves floating up, higher and higher. We landed on the ground with a thud. But at least the door was open. We went through, to where Bowser was waiting for us. We tried to sneak into the huge battle room, but the door chrashed down behind us. Bowser woke from his sleep. Trusting a fireball at us. We Jumped out of the way.  “Quick!” I told Chonglin. “Touch that fire flower on the ground,” He touched it, and Instantly got bigger, and his clothes turned white. “Throw a fireball!” I yelled to him. “How?!” He called back. “Wave your hand!” “Alright...” He waved his hand. A fireball want spiralling towards Bowser. “GRAAAAGH!” he roared. Bowser sent a huge flame at us. Chonglin waved his hand like crazy, and managed to stop the flame in it's tracks. “Keep waving!” I yelled to him. He sent loads of fireballs at Bowser, who fell on the ground and dissapeared, A shining key appeared in his place, a little scroll tied to it. I plucked the key, and Chonglin took the scroll. Everything went dark again, and we were back in my room. I still had the key. “Chonglin, what does your scroll say?” He opened the scroll. It read:

Two children erased from memory,
must select from their library,
four quests to find the remaining four scrolls.
When all are reunited,
the curse will be lifted,
and the souls will be etched back into memory.

Looks like we had a job to do.

Chapter 6
Quest no. 1

I glanced at my watch. Nine. “I had better be going home,” Chonglin said. “Yeah. It's getting late. Meet me outside my house tomorrow at... let's say... Nine in the morning. We'll have a busy day ahead of us,” I stopped in my tracks. How was he going to get back into his house? His parents would surely just slam the door in his face, just as mine had done. “How are you going to get into your house?” I asked him. “I know where the spare key is,” he told me, And with that, he left. I went to bed. I was up and eight thirty the following morning. It would have normally been a school day again, but as far as everyone except Chonlin and I knew, we didn't exist. No lunch. No books. No pens or pencils. Nobody to pay the fees. I didn't see the point in going. By Eight fifty I was outside my house, waiting for Chonglin. He soon came  into sight. I ran up to greet him. “Hey Quinn, check how many games you have,” I was puzzled, But I ran upstairs anyway. Chonglin followed. I ran into my room and looked at my games shelf. All of my games were gone except four. Smash Bros, Sonic unleashed, Zack & Wiki, and Mario kart were the only ones the remained. “How did you know?” I asked him. “A voice in my dream. Calls himself the Great Spirit,” He said. “Quinn, which one do you think we should do first?” “I know how to beat Tabuu in smash bros, If  I'm playing as kirby,” I replied. We both burst out laughing, thinking of eachother as little pink furry blobs, with little arms and legs. “Smash Bros. It is,” He said. “Sure,” I said loading the game into the system, choosing  the subspace emissary. I entered the two of us as players. I was Kirby, and Chonglin chose Lucario. The room went dark again. We were on our way.

Chapter 7
The subspace emissary

Tabuu loomed before us. “You ready?” I squeked to Chonglin. He laughed in a gruff voice. It's not my fault that Kirby has a really high voice. Tabuu sent some lasers at us. “Block!” I told  Chonglin. We both blocked, But are shields diminished really quick. The moral: never buy cheap shields. “What now?” He asked. “Just run! Try to dodge the lasers!” We both ran around like crazy, dodging the lasers. “Watch out!” I shouted to Chonglin. But it was too late. The laser hit him. I saw his damage meter going up. 50%, 100%, 150%, 250%, 300%. One more hit and he would be gone. “Quinn, I don't really feel good,” he moaned. “Hang on in there, hang on there,” I told him. Finally the lasers stopped. I flew up to Tabuu, Delivering some kicks. Tabuu got mad. He surged, faster than a speeding bullet, across the screen. I managed to save Chonglin out of the way, but he was stunned. He didn't know what to do next. Tabuu came back, closer, closer. He hit both of us. One too many for Chonglin. He went flying off the screen. There was a big crash somewhere to the left. Looks like I had to do this one solo. I charged up, before Tabuu could attack again. I delivered the charged punch. Ka-pow. King Quinlan the seventh and a halfth is back. Watch out evil souls. (such as Tabuu) Tabuu's life meter halfed. Tabuu landed on the platform, preparing himself for his next attack. Sword time. I jumped up with my sword, and brought it down on the ground. The wave of energy sweeped across the stage and just about managed to reach Tabuu. His life meter only had a quarter left. Tabuu was clinging on the edge of the platform. I saw my chance. I ran over and delivered a combo of 5 punches. His life meter fell lower, lower, lower. It soon dissapeared. Then, Tabuu followed the same fate, and in his place appeared the little shining key with the scroll attached. As soon as I picked it up, Everything went dark again. Chonglin! I had to figure out a way to rescue him and bring him back. I tried to struggle against the darkness, but no luck. I was soon back in my room, beside Chonglin! “Chonglin! How did you get back?” I asked him. “This 'great aether' told me that it dosen't matter if I sucseed or fail in my quest, I will still be returned, but the game that I entered will be gone, as it did the moment you came back,” Well that explained a lot.

Chapter 8
Lunch, sort of.

I glanced at my watch. Twelve. It certainly didn't feel like we had been gone for three hours. We were both very hungry. “Man, I'm hungry,” said Chonglin. “Happy meal?” “Happy meal.” We ran out, down the road. We ran straight into an invisible wall. Well, that was unexpected. We both fell down. “ummm...” I said, “I was not expecting that,” “You're telling me,” Replied Chonglin. A bone-chilling voice filled the street. “Children!” it bellowed. We looked around the street. It was unuasally deserted. The voice stopped. What was that all about? We carried on, cautiously, into the door of mc donald's. It was deserted too, except for the man behind the desk. He looked at us with a cruel smile. “Why, hello, what can I get you today?” He said. “umm...” I said, taken aback. “Just two happy meals, please,” I said. “Certainly, my little children.” This was odd. We took a table in the corner, by the window. I put the two happy meals on the table. Chonglin took out his burger first, and I took out my fries and coke. I sprinkled my packet of salt over my fries. I ran and got another. You know how much I like salt. I sprinkled it on. “which game do you want to do next?” I asked Chonglin. “Iv'e thought about that already,” He said, handing me a little piece of paper. It read-

games.

Zack & Wiki ….....................Too bad at puzzles
Mario kart.............................I crash into walls
Sonic Unleashed....................I don't want to turn into a werewolf.

That wasn't good. I suppose I could do sonic unleashed myself. I always wanted to be a werewolf.  That's what I told him. “Why don't I control you in the game?” That was an idea that would probably kill me. Chonglin was probably the worst video gamer you have ever seen. But I didn't want to hurt his feelings, so I went  along with him. Disastorous idea, I thought.

Chapter 9
Spagonia
We took the long route home, throughout the threadbare alleways full of mud and dust, to avoid that evil voice. Was it that great spirit? Hard to know. Finally we got up into my house. We ran up the stairs, and I turned my games system on. I loaded the sonic unleashed game. “Here's what to do,” I told Chonglin. “I'l load the game, but before it you go out of the room. Wait at least for ten seconds outside the door, and come back in. I should be in the game. I'l call to you, so you know it's me. Then you make me win. Kapeesh?” “Kapeesh,” he said, hesitantly. Now, you need to be going out,” I told him. He walked out of the room. I loaded the level. Everything went dark. The darkness seeped under a slit in the door, engulfing Chonglin...
I landed beside eggman. I kicked him up in the face. He yelled “stop!” “Stop!” that was odd. But I couldn't give mercy to eggman. I punched him in the stomach. “Quinn! Stop!” eggman yelled. Hold it. He said my name. My nickname. I approached eggman slowly. I suddenly noticed something. I was in control. Chonglin was the only person who called me by my Quinn, not Quinlan. If Chonglin wasn't in the room then where was he? Chonglin is.... Eggman!

“Chonglin?” I asked him. “Yeah...” He groaned. “Defeat me, It's your only way of getting back,” “I wouldn't do that, I can by the game again,” I suggested. Suddenly An odd force came over me. I started attacking Chonglin. I tried desperately to stop, but I couldn't. “Nice, Quinn, Nice,” he whispered before he dissapeared. The Force broke off me. I grabbed the key and scroll before Everything went dark again.  Three scrolls out of five. Not long now. Two more games, I told myself. Two more games.

Chapter 10
Coconut chaos

“Mario kart wii or zack and wiki?” “Mario kart wii,” I said. “It's easier,” I said. So I loaded the game, I chose bowser jr, because he's most streamlined. Chonglin chose Yoshi. Everything went black. We were in the game. Coconut mall. A race against Bowser. Just a normal race. The three of us. Great. The big orange letters appeared on the screen. 3, 2, 1... GO! They said. I got a boost start, but Chonglin, being the terrible gamer he was, got a slow one. Me and bowser at the front. He got a star. Which was odd so early in the game. He soon hit me. After a while I copped on that this star was everlasting. Now I saw why it was so hard. He kept hitting me. I had to dodge better than this. There were two escalators coming up ahead of me. The left one was pushing downwards, and the right one was going up. I needed to go up. Bingo. I drove onto the one going downwards. Bowser followed. The force of the escalator going downwards pushed me back to the bottom of the escalators. But not with Bowser. Because he was invincible, nothing could slow him down. I quickly drove to the escalator going upwards. I bypassed a confused Bowser. Now, I thought, get the hell outta here. I smashed an item box, getting 3 speed mushrooms. Why wasn't Bowser pursuing me? Chonglin! That's where Bowser was. We both had to win the game to get the key and scroll. I did a stand-still mini turbo, I went off in the opposite direction. Not too far, I found Chonglin with Bowser. I started a plan to rescue him. If I hit Bowser, I would drop my speed mushrooms. And if, they landed in front of Chonglin, and not Bowser, he would be able to boost away from Bowser! I had to position myself very carefully. I sneaked behind Bowser. I used one mushroom to boost at him and hit him. As soon as I touched him, I went spiralling back to where I came from, and the mushrooms fell. Fortunately, one of the mushrooms landed in front of Chonglin. “Touch the mushroom!” I yelled to him. He just managed to before Bowser did. Chonglin went speeding out of sight. I snaffled the last mushroom that had landed behind where Chonglin was, and I went speeding off. We were both ahead of Bowser. He roared and disappeared. You have to kinda feel sorry for him though. Killed twice in 48 hours? I'm glad I'm not him. I took the key and scroll. Everything went dark, hopefully for the 3rd last time.

Chapter 11
Evil Island

One more to go. Zack and wiki. I loaded the game. Would I be Zack or wiki? Zack hopefully. Wiki  had almost no control over what happened in the game. I started the game, on the last level, called Barbaros land- the final battle. Everything went dark, once again. It played through the cut scene. I was in that little jail cell as... good. Zack. I looked at the lever, the only thing in the room. If I pulled it, then I would fall into the spikes below me for certain. Unless... I pulled the lever. I almost fell into the spikes, but I got to the part of the platform that jutted out, and avoided the spikes. I jumped down a big step into the room. I could hear footsteps. There was a statue of a human holding a pot in the corner. I dashed to the other pot, which lay on the ground, and held it in exactly the same position as the statue. One of the goons entered the room. He looked around, frowned, then took the elevator up. Phew. I waited. The Elevator came back down, with nobody on it. Good. I jumped on to the impromptu elevator, just a rising platform on a pulley. Who cares, it would still get me up there. It rose. Soon I was on the top floor. I looked around. One goon had saw me, and was running towards me. I rang wiki, who was really Chonglin as a bell, and the goon turned into a totem pole. I kicked the totem pole off the top floor, into space. I touched the blue square in front of me. Gravity switched to pulling me to the left. I walked on the wall, which soon turned into a path. I ran down the path, and came to a crossroads. Where I needed to be going was down, but that was in normal gravity. So me, on the left wall, facing east, would need to go... right. Figure it out for yourself. Drawing a diagram might help a lot. I ran down the path, and touched the red square. I was back to normal gravity. I could see barbaros, in a room next to me. There was no door, so I could see in easily. He was bored, trudging around the room. I grabbed a piece of  rope which was tied to a post, and tied it to the little post near me. I perfect trap. I checked the line. It was rigid. Good. I rang Chonglin, to distract him. He came running out. He tripped on the wire. Now was my chance. I rang Chonglin again. Barbaros screamed, and was turned into a.... statue. He disappeared, and the last key and scroll fell in his place. We did it. The last scroll and key. Everything went dark. We were back in reality. I ran downstairs to talk to my mom.

Chapter 12
The End...?

I ran downstairs. Chonglin came with me. “Mom!” I called. There was no answer. Something was odd here. I burst into the kitchen. My two parents stared in horror at the open door. My dad broke the silence. “It's probably just the wind,” he reassured her. My mum wasn't so sure. Well, that obviously didn't work. Chonglin and I went outside to plan this one out. “It's just impossible!” I told him. He slowly nodded his head. We heard a voice. It laughed evilly, and then shouted at us. “you really thought it would be that easy?!” it shouted, emphasising his words with blast of air, knocked Chonglin and I over. “That was uncalled for,” I told him. “Oh yeah, this is uncalled for,” he said. I felt a strange force pushing me straight into a wall. “How do you like that?” he asked, in a cruel tone. I had no choice. I ran, as fast as my little legs would take me. The voice turned into a soul, like tabuu, but he was blue. “The great spirit!” Chonglin cried. We both backed away quickly. “My curse of being invisible and erased from memory stayed with me my life,” he said, his eyes a cruel red. “So, as I was about to die, I sneaked into your room and bestowed the curse to the first two players of it. You, Quinlan, and you, Chonglin.  And now, to finally rid of the curse, I must kill you both. The curse will die with you, I think you'll find. Also, don't try to fight back. I think you'll the find that I am completely invincible, except for one tiny spot,” he said. “The curse of Achilles,” I muttered. The great spirit heard. “Indeed, my friend, you are correct. “I was a man who was bestowed many curses. Maybe bestowed isn't the right word, hmm? Cursed many curses would sound better,” he said. This spirit is toying with me, I realized. He could attack again, a much stronger attack while I wasn't on guard. Distraction. I would have to battle him. But first I needed some weapons.

Chapter 13
Dean

I ran off, Chonglin not far behind. Weapons, weapons, weapons. The great spirit followed us, effortlessly. “You can run, but you can't hide!” he bellowed at us. Where to go? Chonglin caught up with me. “There was something about that guy in mc Donald's. I want to go back there,” he said. That was crazy, but right now, I couldn't think of anywhere. We skidded around the alleyway corner, and onto the main street. We ran past a statue of an angel, which had been there for as long as I could remember, right outside mc Donald's. We burst into mc Donald's. Looks like we were still the only ones who could see the great spirit. He was (trying) to bash down the door. Not easy when your hands go through anything you touch. It was the same guy as we had seen earlier, trying to serve two people at once. “So, sir would like the cheese burger with small fries (salt but no vinegar) and the slushy.  The old man took the old woman's handbag, and hit him. “No! I want large fries, and a pickle cheeseburger!” He yelled at him. The woman took the man's handbag. “Now, now, Reginald, you know how bad it is for your heart to be having all that activity. What would the doctor say?” The man saw me at once. He called out to a woman, who was also serving. “Samantha!” he yelled. “Get over here and serve some people,” he boomed at her. The woman whimpered, and came rushing over. He then turned to me. “you,”  he said, beckoning me over. “follow me.” he walked off. I didn't have much choice. I followed the man into a little room, just off the kitchens. We were totally alone. The three of us. He approached me. “Dean Smith,” he said. “MI5 international investigator. I heard you are after the great spirit, and that you are the only ones who can see the great spirit,” he said resting his elbow on my shoulder. “Alas, we can do nothing to help you, except give you this sword, which will stop the great spirit's soul.”

Chapter 14
The Last Stand

We ran outside to the great spirit. He was waiting for us. When he saw me with the sword, an evil smile tugging on his lips. Idiot. He was about to die, wasn't he? The sword flew out of my hand by itself. It flew around, and chased after me. It all made sense now. The first time we met Dean, he had a cruel smile. He wasn't really from MI5, it was all just a fraud. And the great spirit's evil smile when I came out with the sword, it all made sense now. “Chonglin, go!” I told him. The sword was coming at me, not him, after all. Chonglin just ran behind me for the whole time. There was only one thing to do. I jumped on to a trash can, and scrambled onto the top of a nearby wall. The sword followed me. I jumped. The sword came after me, but when gliding off the wall, it couldn't get enough height, crumpled, and disappeared. Sucsess. And we had rid ourselves of the great spirit. I took the lid off the trash can, and held it like a shield. Now for something sharp. I looked into the nearest house. It had a bread knife on the table. I picked it up. Equipped. Now all I had to do was find the great spirit. I cautiously walked out of the house. Chonglin followed. I looked around. The great spirit appeared in front of me. Find the weak spot, I thought, Find the weak spot. Most likely, it would be his armpit or the back of his neck. Little glowing balls of light appeared in front of me. The great spirit seemed to be conjuring them up. He sent them flying at me. If I let any past, Chonglin would pay the price. I hit one with my shield. That worked. I got them all except one. It was heading right towards Chonglin. I sprang backwards and just managed to reach it with my shield. “nobody, but nobody tries to hurt my friend!” I yelled at the great spirit, while losing my temper. I charged at him. He was confused. I had taken him by surprise. I jumped, and jabbed him on the back of the neck. Nothing. “Silly boy, Quinlan! Don't you know I'm invincible?” he bellowed at me. Yes, I thought to myself. Silly Quinlan.

Chapter 15
Donn gets his fish

One more option. The armpits. I charged again, but this time the great spirit was wise to me. He pushed a wall of air against me again. I fell back. Chonglin ran past me, taking the bread knife from me. He ran past me. I called out to stop him, but he ignored me. Chonglin charged, with only the bread knife to protect him. The great spirit was once again confused. Chonglin saw that, and jabbed him in his armpit. The great spirit yelled, and turned into dust. Ha-ha. Die evil spirits. It was getting late. I glanced at my watch. Ten. Curfew started at ten-thirty. Chonglin and I said our goodbyes, and ran home. I felt like I was being watched. Odd. I ran home as fast as I could, to get away from these imaginary eyes that were prying on me. I got home. There were police cars all over my drive. I could hear my mum talking to the police. Now that I had been put back into like, living memory, my parents must have gone frantic. I casually walked up the drive. “There he is!” shouted my dad. He came running over to me. We told the police to clear off, and we went inside. My mum sat down in the living room with me. I explained everything. It was midnight. I wanted to go to bed. I told my mum that I could leave the rest of the explaining till later, and ran upstairs. I tripped over my cat Donn, and landed on my knees. I sat down on the stairs. Donn came over and stood on my lap, still mewing expectantly. The fish! I ran downstairs, and opened a packet of tesco tuna. I threw it on the floor, and Donn ran over to it, and tore at it, and devoured it like a savage. I walked back upstairs to my room. I jumped into bed. It wouldn't have been to bad to keep going into video games, if only I actually decided when to enter a video game, and that they wouldn't disappear after using them. That struck me. All of the games were back. Even the ones that weren't in the four we went into. Well, I thought. At least Donn is happy.

Re: wanna hear a story?

Nice!

I had to write an entire novel for school once, and it ended up becoming 55 pages long.  lol  Each chapter was about 3 or 4 pages, and there were twenty-one chapters, plus a prologue and epilogue.

here's chapter 3.
chapter 4 will come later today or tomorrow. Enjoy  big_smile

“What's wrong?” “That man,” I said, “Is my grandpa,”

Re: wanna hear a story?

here's chapter 4  smile

Chapter 4

I woke up in front of the xbox, which was running the Napoleon campaign.

Re: wanna hear a story?

Chapter 5
la sua a me, Quinlan!

Re: wanna hear a story?

this ones the shortest  sad  it's just a little explanation.

Chapter 6
Quest no.

Calls himself the Great Aether,” He said.

Re: wanna hear a story?

“This 'great aether' told me that it dosen't matter if I sucseed or fail in my quest, I will still be returned, but the game that I entered will be gone, as it did the moment you came back,” Well, that explained a lot. But what game next?

Re: wanna hear a story?

ok, here it is ;D

Chapter 8
Lunch, Sort of

Re: wanna hear a story?

Chapter 9

-20:53, December 6th. Told you it would be today!  wink

Re: wanna hear a story?

Re: wanna hear a story?

Chapter 11/15

Re: wanna hear a story?

Chapter 12
