PLEASE don't put life updates here.
The miscellaneous fourm is supposed to be related to scratch not:

Those COULD be put on scratches. 
But, MOST people put them here as if this is the "Junk Drawer". If you refrained to keeping scratch-related stuff here, the miscellaneous fourm could be mutch easier to navigate.

I've hardly even seen any threads like that in a while anyway
Now people just tell us useless things about their day while adding a discussion about something they did which apparently makes twitter-like threads acceptable

While it would be nice if people refrained from Twitter-like posts in Misc., this forum is for everything that doesn't fit elsewhere, within reason. But you are encouraged to post topics that have a possibility of starting a legitimate conversation -- otherwise they'll just be flagged as chat threads and closed.

Yeah, so it's okay if you post a topic like 'we had math today', tell people about your math lesson, but maybe add a question at the end of your story, asking for contributions...I think!
Example:
'Hi. We had math and it was really boring. We did equations and I got confused. blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...
So, do you like math? Discuss.'
That way you can share stuff that's going on in your life, AND make conversation. Well, that's my opinion.
