Browser? You don't get the Disappearing Text Bug in the Java Player, you get it in the Scratch program...

I know that, but my computer automatically shuts down when I get it anyway!

Ooh, it affects other applications?

I remember that I've seen it, um, once. I didn't know about the "Disappearing Text Bug" at that time. And yes, it affected other applications. When I got back to my desktop, I found that the text on my desktop and the text on my taskbar disappeared too. So I restarted my computer.

It doesn't affect other applications, it just shuts down the computer immediatly. I have a certain project I'm making which gets the dissapearing text bug whenever you edit a certain background, but all my other projects with the dissapearing text bug have the same problem.

Wow... the next "I love you" virus!

Probably not a virus. Whenever something like this happens for some reason everyone thinks it's a virus.

OS? Processor? Available memory/ram and HD space?

Did you know that your OS is an application itself?
Looks like it's affecting your OS!

I don't know how to tell you this, but an OS isn't an application
Don't lie to people

Actually, an OS is a full-screen application that starts up right after you turn your computer on. You can download/make a .swf file which is an OS to see what I mean.

I once got the dissappearing text bug, and since I was new in Scratch, I got really frustrated because I didn´t know what to do!!!!!! I finally decided to save the project, close Scratch open it, close it, and open it. I did this like two or three times and then the blocks had the names again and everything else on Scratch. Unlike you, benjamin2, it stayed in Scratch, it didn´t get to the browser, and much less to other programs. I know this is a very primitive way to solve a problem, but I can´t do any better, since I really don´t know whaat really happens.
I hope I helped,
Sincerely, Oswaldo.

Right, here is what happens:
I'm doing my stuff on Scratch, the text dissapears, and the computer's applications all close and it begins its shutdown process. It happens with any number of applications open at the time.

I have this bug sometimes. The only way to avoid it is simple: don't make a project that is way to big, or run multiple Scratch programs.
Fixed.
Wanna know why? RAM. And past experience lol

I didn't mean it's a virus. "I love you" virus is sort of a term that means something really destructive that can't be stopped.
