my microphone no longer works on scratch

hey Scratchers!
my microphone doesnt work, i need help. does it need to be ubs? it works when im not on scratch, i can hear myself, but i cant record it on scratch, the volume doesnt even move. does u guys know how to solve this?

Check your input settings. What operating system are you on?
