And turntech said you guys blocked him for a week, then he emailed you about how you took his game off the front page for some reason (which is sort of similar to this)
After that, you guys emailed him back stating that he was Rhy, and that you would never unban him. And I haven't really heard from him since.
Discussing it in private isn't going to fix anything, you need to get the community involved

You can decide who to believe. Here is the type of information we have for all the accounts logs:

1. IP address.
2. Dates of every single activity on the site.
3. All projects and comments ever posted.
4. Email communication with IP.

This the information that you are likely to have:

1. Information given to you by the person who was blocked.

So, what you're saying is that turntech and Rhy's IP's matched? Well, I have no way of checking for myself, but then again, I'm not the person who unbans
And I don't think comments has to do with it, unless you only mean turntech's comments and Rhy's comments both being generally towards bad, but so are a lot of people's

I have to say turn techs drawing style is very similar to rhy's...that's why I thought it might be him.

Re: The TOU on Scratch boil down to this: Don't be mean

WOW!!! I just read this ENTIRE thread backwards, and I feel like I know more about about the situation. Well, I agree with the ST on this situation. RHY didn't want to be unblocked, so he shouldn't be able to share projects. If he were to respond to the ST, he most likely would be unbanned if he wanted it. But he doesn't. So, he doesn't deserve to get to post projects,on other accounts. Whats the point? Why not be un-blocked, post projects on his new account, and leave?

I don't think you've read the whole thread, as you claimed you did. Perhaps you should reread it?

Well, they aren't
I made them in DBM's style, who is also not Rhy
The point is just because the art of ice is similar to Rhy's art, doesn't mean that it's him

Why should he be allowed back? He's obviously proved on other sites he doesn't deserve to come back. And why does he care so much? It's a website and he's not allowed on it. So? Why doesn't he just go use another programming language? Kids these days whine about the lousiest things.

THIS EXACTLY. He even said he moved on to stencil (or however you spell it, and if he really wants to share projects, maybe HE SHOULD USE THE CONTACT US LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE. Or maybe hes just creating new accounts for the contraversy. :\ . But I agree with Kiwi95, he could be funny sometimes, looking back at I&M.

Wow. I am extremely surprised at the amount of discussion going on about this topic. I get that Rhy was a decent programmer, but this is borderline ridiculus.  I am very surrised with the volatility of the discussion in that people are borderline revolting for this internet person. Very interesting...and amusing, quite honestly.

My stalker speech is done. Please continue.

If someone wants to be unblocked the only way to be unblocked is by engaging in  a conversation with the Scratch Team directly. We do not unblock accounts through discussion on the forums.

There are multiple ways an account can violate the TOU. Some of them are: being mean, harassing other users, cheating the system (e.g. creating accounts to increase views, love its, or post links to projects), circumventing an existing block, impersonating other users, posting of inappropriate content, creating a hostile environment, etc, etc, etc.

Again, we don't think we should explain the reasons why every single account has been blocked or unblocked.

I just read the TOU...What does "try to game the community" mean?

One example: creating multiple accounts to click "love it" in order to get to the front page.

That doesn't work anyway. Love-its from multiple accounts with the same IP don't count towards top loved. I know because my friend made an account on my computer and clicked love-it on my project a while back, and it got some sort of 1-loveit handicap compared to all the other projects on the list.

But anyway, back on topic...

I'm pretty sure it's real. (Yes, I saw it before this, on formspring)
I don't see any reason for him to write up a fake email conversation about this.

And I personally trust him.
