P.S I love poutine.![]()
It's funny, I've lived in the US all my life and for some reason prefer the British spelling of colour. Perhaps one day I'll move there so I can finally use it....
Yes, the forum BBCode mocks us daily. I always want to use [colour] tags
Offline
From now on I will be using u in all the words that need one
Ex. 'Behaviour' 'Colour'

In my country, it's cold, and slippery. We've had snow recently, and to be honest, us British are a littl wimpy.
*It snows about 3mm on a school day*

Same, it's just that our teachers are pathetic. The minute one bit of snow drops, it comes over on local radio that school's closed...

Pathetic
That is awesome
It has to be a blizzard for my teachers to even consider calling it a snow day
And we have to add an extra day onto the end of the year because of snow days

My school never closes. I can hear all the names of the schools that get a day off, but our school is never mentioned

They always forget to mention us.
Once, I turned up at school in uniform and everything, only to find that the village is abandoned and the school is CLOSED. Major facepalm, that was.

Lol!
I hate the climate in my area, it's always freezing or roasting. I had to get dressed under my bed covers I was that cold this morning!!
I wish the sun wasn't blocked out by the trees in our neighbor's garden. They're taller than our house by about 10ft.

Lot's o' lakes and pine trees are the best
See that bald eagle, it's making a nest
When ice fishing, there's lots of times to rest.
You are a wolf.
The neighbor's own acres of corn
and cows graze the fields from noon til 'morn.
It's blazing with heat, we're smothered with frost
Weather changing at the clock, soon the warmth will be lost.
We're not a state, we're a nation at heart.
And our wonderful hockey, don't let me start!
Guess, aru.

I live in the USA! We use different length, volume, and weight systems. I learned the metric system in school and I think it's much better than the American system.
I know! Inches and feet and miles don't seem to be based on anything. 5,280 feet to a mile? Where'd they come up with that? Meters actually have a reason for their length, and the increments for kilometers and such makes so much more sense.
America is silly.

That it is.
That's why I call myself something a little different from American!

I know. I'm American, and I think our customary measuring system is stupid. I a bit British, I spell gray grey

I live in the US. Where I live, we do our homework, call people up and party
But seriously, we're famous for our food and music. We're the home of the Blues and the best BBQ in the world.
EDIT: and Elvis, and Beal Street.

Famous for food?
Fast food?
I chuckle at your "famous food".

America my friends, America.
Western Hemisphere.
English.
I start school early September.
I'm glad I have freedom, but us Americans are probably the least moralistic country. We say that the rest of the world is locked out from us, but we're really locked out of the world because of our obsession with technology.
That's all.

I live in Texas.
The food is great, there's a lot of pickup trucks, nice tourist attractions, bad heat in the summer, no snow, crazy drivers, lots of immigrants, tons of service men, and loads of political debate. Fun.

Put a 'Celsius' on the end of that. I only register Fahrenheit when I read temperature.
