Need For Speed

Do any of you like NFS? I've played Most Wanted, Carbon, and Nitro. Here's my opinion:

NFS: Most Wanted: (PC)
My over all favorite. Great graphics, nice storyline, love the blacklist challenge, the music is OK, the car design is amazing, and the cop chases are epic. Well, it IS NFS: Most Wanted!

NFS: Carbon: (PS2)
Great game, I tell ya. Pretty similar to NFS:MW, but a little different. Not quite as good graphics, but still awesome, storyline is cool, and I love how you get a 'crew' that races with you, and you can take control of areas in the city. Only thing I don't like: Cop chases are almost a pain.

NFS: Nitro: (Wii)
Awful. That's all I can say. No free roam was the downfall of this game. Not to mention the sickening graphics, and the cars that just plain look awful. The races are stupid, and the cop chases are all in-race. They are used much as a power-up, that you can use to sic 'em on the other drivers. Power-ups also give this game a cartoony feel.

Discuss NFS games here!

Re: Need For Speed

Ever tried NFS World? It's an online MMO, that has both Rockport and Palamont in one city.

That's out:
NFS 3 and MW are my top favs. Not quite finished with MW yet...And I can't say much about the newest HP, have yet to play it.

Pretty Hate Machine, Broken, Closer To God, The Downward Spiral, Further Down The Spiral, The Perfect Drug, The Fragile, And All That Could Have Been, With Teeth, Year Zero, Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D, Ghosts I-IV, The Slip, Pretty Hate Machine 2010

Re: Need For Speed

I liked NSF Carbon and Most Wanted. Free roam was one of the best bits.

At the time Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit was amazing. The PC version let you play as the cops. So this new Hot Pursuit which says you get to play as the cops for the first time is a total lie.

NSF pro street wasn't very good.
Need for speed II was good.
NSF undercover (Wii version) was alright. I loved the infinite speed glitch given to the Evo 9 ( I found this out myself and I can't find anyone else who has) ( How to: Get the Evo 9 with max upgrades. Use the Classic controller. Go anywere where there is a big straight road. (Freeway). Hit reverse. Next press and hold the accelerator at the same time. And zoom off in reverse (Only works in reverse (I got over 1000km/h))
Underground was good.

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

Re: Need For Speed

I've never played need for speed, but I've played Burnout Paradise. I like Burnout Paradise because there a a huge world (over 200 miles worth) to free roam, and then there are races, stunt challenges, and you can cause car accidents, and just explore. Every once in a while a new car will show up, and you have to find it on the streets and smash it  tongue  Great game.

I'm graduating HS this April and going to college in the Fall.

Re: Need For Speed

I have NFS Underground but don't play it much.

The guy seems to live in his car.
