Re: Are you going shopping today?

Nah
My godmother wanted me to go to Toys R Us at like one in the morning with her though
I didn't go  tongue

Last night when we were driving home from my aunt's house, we saw people camping out in front of a Best Buy for Black Friday
And at our mall, stores were opening at like four in the morning and midnight and stuff. My sister wants to go shopping today, but we probably aren't (We have to go to my godmother's house to wrap presents, so we probably aren't going to have time)

I'm not. Besides, online shopping is better.

Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas  shopping season. On this day, many retailers open very early, often at 4 a.m., or earlier, and offer promotional sales to kick off the shopping season. Because Thanksgiving always falls on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States, the day after occurs between the 23rd and the 29th of November.

The day's name originated in Philadelphia, where it originally was used to describe the heavy and disruptive pedestrian and vehicle traffic which would occur on the day after Thanksgiving. Use of the term began by 1966 and began to see broader use outside Philadelphia around 1975. Later an alternative explanation began to be offered: that "Black Friday" indicates the period during which retailers are turning a profit, or "in the black."

Re: Are you going shopping today?

No, but I'm watching the news. I want to see someone jump over someone else.

For all of you who don't live in the United States, Black Friday is the day when all stores open at 12:00, and there are crazy sales. Oh yeah, a lot of people wait outside for days to get a new game or something. This year it will probably be the kinekt or however you spell it.

Re: Are you going shopping today?

Nope. For the most part, most of my presents are hand-made. So I'm staying home and drinking some hot cocoa.  big_smile

Re: Are you going shopping today?

I ended up just going to the mall because I would've been bored at home by myself. We ended up getting ripped off a soft pretzel because the person couldn't count, and a couple stores were zoos, but I got a Penn State jacket and a Carlos Ruiz jersey/T-shirt that my parents'll give me at Christmas.

Re: Are you going shopping today?

I went with my aunt and cousin to the mall to see Tangled, but after the movie we ended up doing some serious shopping.
