A scratch web app

A lot of websites have mobile web apps so they are easier to view on mobile devices. I've been thinking for a while that Scratch should have one too. You'd be able to view comments, look at the forums, and, when the HTML Scratch viewer comes out, view projects.

It's not necessary, but it would be nice and easy to make.

Re: A scratch web app

Do you mean like an application for mobile devices, or just a version of the site designed for mobile browsers? (Either one would be really nice.)

I mean having something like mobile Google. It's optimized for the small screen when you're on a mobile device.

Agree. But problem is, that you can't edit the blocks very well!!!

Maybe it could be a viewer.

No, for the website! I'm not talking about a Scratch program web app, I'm talking about optimizing it for mobile devices if one is being used.

Good idea, when I try to click my username to go to my page, or my messages I sometimes click log out.

Oh yes. Definitely. I think there's already a suggestion on the suggestions page, but it hasn't really gotten any traction.

Re: A scratch web app

Heh, I find doing stuff on the Scratch website with my iPod very nice.  hmm  Actually, I bet I wouldn't like the app as much as the normal website. xD

(I'm using my iPod right now to browse the Scratch forums and such  tongue )

Well, it's not bad, but it's a bit of a pain. The text box you can enter your post in is frankly, not the best.

Yeah, but it's a real pain when you are using an iPod. I don't see how it'd be a problem on the iPad.

The only pain for me is that I can't type as fast on an iPod.  tongue
