Re: Optum Web Browser - Testers Needed!

No because the buttons are positioned very oddly and the tab control is way out of date  neutral

Re: Optum Web Browser - Testers Needed!

How is it out-of-date?

And how are the buttons weird?

Re: Optum Web Browser - Testers Needed!

The button's don't have icon's and your browser can't load favicons  sad
May I recommend the excellent Qtabcontrol for your tab's ?
link: http://www.qiosdevsuite.com/Qios.WebSpace/Standard.aspx?RID=69
WIth that you can get cool tabs.
Example tab code for qtabs:

Code:

dim ie as new webbrowser

dim newtab as new qtabpage
ie.dock = dockstyle.fill
newtab.controls.add(ie)
qtabcontrol1.controls.add(newtab)

I still think your browser is cool  smile  But if you change it so it looks better it will be cooler  big_smile

Best Regards

Re: Optum Web Browser - Testers Needed!

I love the new "Add (search) engine" feature, but...
- What does the "Add manually" button do? Nothing happens when I click it.
- An error occurs when you try to delete an un-existing engine.
- Also, I don't think you should different search engines to have the same name. Otherwise, there's a problem when you try to delete an search engine.

And the "All close bug" is partly fixed, but not totally. Try this:
1. Open Optum.
2. Choose "New Window" from the "File" menu.
3. Close the first window (the window that is produced by Step 1).
4. Both windows are closed.

Yeah, all bugs should be fixed in Beta 3.0.

Re: Optum Web Browser - Testers Needed!

You could alway use this code to start a new window:

Code:

   Process.Start(Application.StartupPath + "\optum.exe")

Re: Optum Web Browser - Testers Needed!

For what? I need code that will close all tabs but the 'Add' one, and add tabs that navigate to urls saved in my.settings.sessions and are seperated by commas.

Optum 2.5 with all bugs fixed.

Re: Optum Web Browser - Testers Needed!

Another bug: The word 'receive' in the "Optum Pro" box is spelled 'recieve'.

EDIT: And another: Clicking on links that open a new window (target=_blank, target=_right and target=_left) crashes Optum.

Re: Optum Web Browser - Testers Needed!

A workaround (to prevent Optum from crashing) is to right-click on the link and choose "Open in New Window", but that opens Internet Explorer...
