The worst thing was, the spammer was a day old, and the project maker was over 2 years old. And the spammer was calling the project maker noob. Not to mention the animation was one of the best I've ever seen.

I would avoid getting called a noob and see the project, even if it was boring. I also would tell the spammer that I seen the project and loved it, and favorited it!  lol

Don't encourage them!  yikes

I know, right?! Well, they would be (to me) if they did this to me... I don't get very many views on my projects.  sad  Ah, well! At least I found Scratch!  smile

How I deal with it: When it's in this form:

Cool!

I just delete the link one and reply to the first:

I don't accept ads here. Try the Show&Tell fourm.

On one of my projects, someone tried it (name not disclosed  wink  ) and I did that.

I go "lol check out my proejct (link to project)" Or go "(link to project) look at this game! (NOT SPAM.)" It's annoying when they never actually bother to go through all of the stuff you described.

Spam is also an acronym for Super Poweful Awesome Messages, like posting "kldwkuqcoi" ten thousand and a half times on someone's project. But both kinds of spam are pretty awesome though.

P.S. Are you sure this is in the right section? It might be giving newbies the spam message.

Re: How to "spam"

you should tell if there is a way to tell if it is spam.

If you are reading this, please read to the end, because if you don't you won't know what's at the end. Don't just skip to the end though otherwise you won't be able to read the middle, which is most important. Now you must be wondering why you just read all that, the reason is you may have not noticed something, read it again and see if you notice it this time  smile

Once, I was on a website with a chat box and normally there's not a lot of spam.  But his time, about five people with spam names spammed super quickly like "fjosjfjui".  It was Spam Central for ten minutes!

Spam is also an acronym for Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages, like posting "kldwkuqcoi" ten times on someone's project. But both kinds of spam are pretty irritating though.

Spam is ALSO an acronym for Stuff Poseing As Meat! Sorry for the off-topic post.

Re: How to "spam"

umm why did you make this fourm post spamming is bad and can clog up servers a message to everyone please don't spam stay on-topic and keep what you type appropriate beacuse when you post it it stays there forever even if it is removed beacuse people know how to get to earlier versions of websites and can then see whatever you typed before you deleted it remember dont spam keep it appropriate stay on-topic and SCRATCH ON 8-)

Its where you are programming in scratch and suddenly... BAMBOOMZLE! All the txt in your costumes, scripts- even the drop down menus at top- all disappear. You have to save and exit scratch, restart it, and to get th4e text back, go to EVERY SINGLE COSTUME that has any txt in it and edit it and the text reappears.
