I first uploaded my new project on a test account to see whether it'd work online, and now when I upload it, it always says "based on idktest's project."
How do I get rid of that label?
Also, this might be the wrong section -_-

yep this is the wrong section! (do people even bother to read the description these day?) anyway I'll anwser...
The based on bit means you have 'remixed' some elses project. You can't get rid of it. If you did it would be going against the Scratch rules (The TOS). Hope this helps.

It isn't possible. If you don't want it to do that, then do not upload it as a remix, which you do by downloading it and then uploading it. I don't think it is that bad to have it be based on that, it doesn't particularly matter to me.

ummm I've seen some people copy other peoples' projects without having that tag. Sorry, that doesn't help.
nope thats impossible... they've either imported that project into their own project or saved each individual sprite and imported them. Those are the only ways to do it, you may not like it but thats how it works. Anyway if you do see any of those methods they are going against the TOS and so if you see a project with out the based on thing that was based on another project report it! Infact post a link on this thread

No its not I know how they do it. I cant say because it breaks the TOS, but I found it out when I was looking through the file for the HTML viewer.

In order to do it, just create a blank project and import the project you want.
However I do not think you should do this.

Thanks for telling me how it works, and NO it's not against the TOS if it's my own project. Why do you people think that button exists? However, all of the variables glitch when I import it... They won't get set back to zero, so I guess that is not an option.

Same way I was saying!

Fine, but dont tell anyone I told you!
You open the .sb (scratch file) in a text editor (notepad++) then remove the save history!

try deleting the project from your test account

That won't work. The history is stored in the project itself.

I think the ScratchR software compares the scripts, costumes, and sounds in your project against other ones -- it may or may not have anything to do with whether you start with someone else's project.

Oh, cool, I suppose that makes a lot more sense. Isn't it then also stored in sprites imported from the project then? I think I've created some "remixes" by importing a sprite or two from an existing project into a new one once or twice.

Hmm... I don't think so...

Open a Scratch project in notepad, and quite close to the start of the file is the save history.
