Jupiter in my teliscope

YESH I JUST SAW IT!

It was epic i could see 2 of its moons and some minor color varions

How i saw it:

IOts a full moon, on acsedent i lokked at the moon, that could have messed up my mirrors, so i test it out on the nearest star... Its jupiter!

Have you ever seen any planets in a telescope?

Ps i was using a 9mm lens with a 144mm telescope

Re: Jupiter in my teliscope

I see it all the time man....it's usually the biggest and brightest star visible. then again my street is really wide and the houses are far back so I can see way more of the sky than most other neighborhoods.

I used to have a telescope. I once saw three of Jupiters moons with it  smile

Re: Jupiter in my teliscope

I might need to use my telescope right now, because I did notice Jupiter is bright tonight!

I have a 300 mm telescope with a maximum of 525x magnification.

Re: Jupiter in my teliscope

Sadly, I have no telescope, but my window above the stairs really has a good view of the moon.  tongue

Re: Jupiter in my teliscope

I used to love space. I also used to have a really strong telescope. Then my little brother broke it. Trust me, it's worth being an older sibling.  tongue

Re: Jupiter in my teliscope

i used to want to be an astronomer but it looked too hard so i sided against it

stars are still pretty cool to look at but i hardly ever see em around here
and i always have to ask someone whether or not somethings a star or an airplane because theres like three airports near my house and ive never been able to tell the difference

in the mornings at like six oclock at the bus stop we used to be able to see the moon and saturn and stars and all that stuff perfectly but then daylight savings time or something happened

my dad has a telescope but i dont think anyone knows how to use it and no ones really interested enough to figure it out so yeah ive never looked at planets through a telescope

Re: Jupiter in my teliscope

I used to have an obsession with constellations, and I has a telescope. I broke it by accident...
I went to New Hampshire for a couple days, and you could hardly see the sky for stars.  big_smile  It was awesome.
