Oh, and if you agree with me just say in your post to convince Scratch to be able to let us flag icons.

That's a good idea, although I've never seen any inappropriate icon.

Nice idea! Where would the button be though? (For now, just e-mail the Scratch Team if you see an inappropriate icon.)

Usually mods see it quickly enough. I'm sorry, but I don't support.

Then betray some other ideas ;D
I support - there should be an easy way to flag everything.

You can always just flag an icon of a user by following the contact us link at the bottom of every page.

yeah, but first i didn't know that and second, we want something easier than going to contact scratch.

I support. I think this would be a more convenient way to alert the Scratch Team of inappropriate content, as opposed to e-mail (which can take time to be responded to, especially if some of the Scratch Team members are on vacation).

Actually, I disagree. Community moderators currently have no power on the regular Scratch site, so they cannot remove inappropriate avatars - so, removing inappropriate avatars is pretty much left up the the Scratch Team and whoever reports the avatar via e-mail. This can be a rather slow process (especially if the e-mail is not viewed for a while because a Scratch Team member is on vacation, or if the e-mail is overlooked by accident). The flagging system has a tendency to be more quicker, and also gives the added benefit of blocking an inappropriate image if the image receives enough flags (and the image can be restored if it is deemed okay).

Well, one: don't go to threads on the 7 millionth page
2: just check the date of the first post. November, 2010... Seems like an old thread.

When you are a scratcher you can vote

Also just wondering... If so many people are supporting this idea why does the idea itself only have one vote?

The Scratch team has power over that. They have power on practically everything on the site.

I agree - there really should be a way to do this. Right now, if you see one that you think should be flagged, just flag a project instead and explain that you are flagging the icon (or avatar), not the project. If they don't have any projects, please use the Contact Us form at the bottom of every page.
