No, it (probably) wasn't red like if you look at one in 1.4; it (probably) looks red because it's obsolete. But anyway, what's the color?
It'd be even awesomer if you gave a link to where I can get the Scratch 1.2 image file so I could look at it myself and have the image
(No, don't look at the Scratch Wiki for a picture - that one's gray, and I made that image myself by recoloring an obsolete (red) comment block with the color from a gray block in BYOB)

It was light grey (which looked out of place, being in the Control section and all )

It's close, yours is slightly darker. But if you want, you can get the 1.2 beta (which has the comment block) from this thread.

You saw it as red because you were viewing it as an obsolete block (obsolete blocks are red).
