Hi,
When I look at scratch, I see it as a set of two components, the front end Blocks and the backend language. Some organisations/individuals have used the scratch IDE for developing apps for other platforms. Is it possible to use scratch in this model, for a custom IDE that has blocks based on the objects as required and all of this generates code in a custom language in the backend?
Some have argued that using blocks based reduces productivity, etc. I feel that it reduces the overheads of checking as each parameter is addressed properly and there are lesser errors than otherwise.
UML can produce code, but I stil feel that scratch based blocks make is simpler to manage code.
So is there some doco that you can point me to, for looking at this (if it is possible)
cheers,

This is kind of a confusing suggestion. I'm not exactly sure what you mean. What I get out of it is that you want Scratch to have the block based front end, but a custom back end, but I'm not entirely sure.
