I believe that I once heard that mesh was a possible scratch 2.0 feature. This is a suggestion to make it easier for online communities to work. The suggestion is to upload two projects for mesh. A client and a server. The client is a standard public project, were everyone can view it. The server, however, is a project only viewable by the user, and can be used for things such as databases, logins, etc. The client project would have one more thing in the upload, though. It would have a text input box for the server URL, and a server password. This way, other users can't send data to the server except on the client. The server should also have the ability to add data in lists or variables, and create variables. What do you think? And ton't tl;dr me.

I love it!

thanks! Think of the possibilities! OSs can have private networks, with logins, (private as in just for the OS) or they could connect to an uber-huge server like SWC, only with 3rd party ubpdates! Multiplayer with users, so they can keep records, store stats, and make hi-scores.

Idk but well i un-support it keeping in mind that it will be loading server heavily, but well maybe its just me or maybe i think so cuz i am not an "EXTREME SCRATCHER"

well, I didn't make my sig, or even request it. Fullmoon made it. (well, I guess I requested it, but FM just asked if I wanted a sig, so I said sure, and FM made this.) Please specify, I don't have a clue what' you're trying to say.
I'll try, Icode.
Okay, I was doing fine, but paint's text thing epicly failed and would keep going to too high of a size.

I mean ur suggestion
is goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood
but think of server projects each project will aqquire a unique PORT on the scratch SERVER now this will overload the server heavily so i dont think that this can be implemented!

hmmm. possibly a 1 server per user limit? so instead of a feature when you upload, you have a section like my projects only it's my server.

TY!
oh, and it was flexistudio, not fullmoon that made it.

Hmm . 1 server per user .. do u know what no of users are there on scratch ??? (which are active) I dont think that scratch.mit.edu's basic server can take that much load D: !..
i mean thats like OVER OVER OVER LOADING IT!!!.
What u want can be implemented by
something like this..
Wide scale Mesh support .. + ur user IP becomes the mesh host .. Now heres how it works
when u are logged in
Ur computer hosts the network ( as a server) . and scratch server keeps a track of what is ur current IP so that it can just tell clients to join the mesh(or ur network) . this can be implemented without overloading the server!.

ooh, that would be nice, but some sort of shield, possibly, so that the IP isn't publicly revealed?
