The chronicals of last night: the glass, the doctor, and the hospital

Lol making fun of Narnia with the title.

So I was just loading the dishwasher until it ran out of space. I started the dishwasher and proceeded to hand wash the last few dishes. The last one, a thin glass cup, was the one that did it. I started washing the inside of it when *snap* a peice of the glass broke onto my hand, and it is about 1/4 inch deep. I didn't feel anything, in fact I barely knew what just happened, but I knew glass breaking onto your hand wasn't good so I immediately put pressure on it (I'm also a certified level one first aid person  tongue ). It started bleeding profusely so I went to show my dad what happened and he said I needed stitches.

(btw this story is true)

My mom then came (she's a certified level one first aid person too) and got the gauze pads and wrapped it around my hand, I then kept constant pressure on it for aobut 10 minutes. So I got dressed and we went to the hospital. We were taken early because of the guys I take karate with works there and he was just getting off  big_smile

Skipping to the part where I got tended to, the doctor put pressure on my gash and put skin glue (not a typo lo) over it so it could heal faster. Then my mom remembered I never had my tetanus shot and I got that too. I waited a thirty minutes that seemed like an eternity and then I got to leave. I have to wait a week until I can disolve the skin glue with some oil, so no karate for me for another week or so D: I've already been gone for 1 week because I was sick >.>

I read the first paragraph and thought to myself, "This is one odd story." Then I kept reading and I realized it was real

So uh, what are we supposed to talk about here? Related events?
I once stabbed my hand like ten times with a piece of bamboo that had thorns. I broke down the top part of the same piece earlier and started peeling it with a knife (Which also didn't end up well), but then this kid wanted the bottom half of the tree (I know thats not the actual name for bamboo but whatever) so I had to break the rest down for him. And in doing so, the tree pricked my hand a bunch of times. By the time I got it down, my hands and jacket's sleeves were all bloody and whatnot
Then I had to peel the tree with a knife. But first, I hand-plucked off all of the thorns. So yeah, in the end, I had a bloody knife, bloody hands, a bloody jacket, and two really nice pieces of grass
But then I gave that kid the piece he wanted, so I only have one :(

Oh, and this was at a party I was doing this while everyone was inside, eating cake
