I won an essay contest!
Our local VFW had their annual Patriot's Pen writing contest for people my age, and me and this other guy in my Boy Scout troop were the only ones that entered. They said it was really close, but mine won, so I got $70 and my essay gets sent to the district contest.
The theme for the essay was "Does Patriotism Still Matter?" and it had to be 300-400 words. Mine was 312.

At our Veteran's day ceremony, a couple of people read essays about Patriotism.
I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos
