Recently we made the archived forums hidden so that the main forum page would look a bit less cluttered. Many Scratchers gave feedback about this change on this thread. Some said they liked it, and some said they missed the archived forums and wanted a way to browse them.
Thanks to a glitch pointed out by by Chrischb, we got the idea of making these forums invisible on the main forum page, but still searchable / browsable via the "Jump To" menu. So if you'd like to browse an archived forum, just scroll to the bottom of a forum or thread and select the forum you want to browse in the pull down menu below the words "Jump To." It'll take you right to the archived forum's index page.
Thanks to all the Scratchers who shared their thoughts on this.

Great change! I definitely think this is a good alternative to having the Archived Forums disappeared completely.
However I'm worried that some users might accidentally post in Troubleshooting for example that the archived forums aren't able to be seen yet can be accessible. Hopefully that won't happen much.

Great. I was just looking for WOTF to start a new one on the regular TBGs :D

Nice idea, I think it's a good comprimise (however it's spelled ) between not having them at all and having them cluttering up the front page!

Mine are visible on the index. I own you all.

Hey, they're back on the forum index again... you might want to fix that.
But thanks for letting us have a way to view those forums.
EDIT: Hey, I can't see them on the forum index now!

Yeah, it just takes a bit for your browser's cache to empty out - I believe. Although different browsers handle CSS in different ways, unfortunately. That's one of the difficulties of web development.
If anyone can still see them after refreshing a couple of times, please post to let us know. Thanks!

I really like this method - they're still viewable, but they're only there if you want them to be, without adding a whole new option to have them viewable. Looks great to me!

Nice! Now users who want to see them, like me sometimes, can see them, but users who don't like them cluttering up the forum page don't have to see them!
