Best solution so far, in my opinion.
I believe hiding them to new scratchers and then suddely revealing the forums to them would be the second best option, but still cluttering the forums for the majority of the community.
I definitely (making my point there) don't want the forums to be deleted or even simply archieved onto the scratch internal servers as a backup, because they are truly a part of Scratch which would (literally) de chucked out of the window.
