Yeah, in China. It all has to do with that fact that I'm Filipino, but I look more Chinese or Japanese.

I went on a trip to Hong Kong, China, for three days, but prior to flying there, my family was able to pull some strings so everyone was also able to take a one day trip to Shenzhen, which is associated with mainland China. Upon trying to fly back to the Philippines, I was stopped by the Chinese government authorities because they thought I was Chinese trying to illegally immigrate out of China on a fake U.S passport (it didn't help either that, in my passport photo, I was wearing a Chinese-style dress).

The authorities demanded to my parents that they show my birth certificate as proof that I was their daughter. My mom threw a fit and yelled at the guy, saying that they [the officials] were being ridiculous for asking for a birth certificate on departure when they didn't ask for one on arrival initially. The guy left us alone after that.

I was at Niagara falls two summers ago, crossing into America, and the guard kept demanding proof that I was my Dad's son and insisted that he search through our box of travel-food. O_e

Re: The American CIA...

I haven't left the US just because I have never had an opportunity. But my dad travels to France or Germany every year, as well as Mexico, for business. He says he hasn't had any issues with security. He's been in and out of the airport enough to know exactly how to act without anyone asking him stupid questions.

Re: The American CIA...

Did anyone see where someone sent a package to the Pentagon and they sent a bomb squad and when they opened it some tiny kittens jumped out?
Sooooo cute!
And then a guy said, "I'll take them!"
I heard it somewhere.

I also think it's a true story.

Probably your computer. I've been on the CIA web page before to look up stuff and nothing happened to my laptop.

Yes, yes I do. I'm a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol, and every cadet is issued an ID card, which grant's free pass to the base.

How old are you?

But the scariest thing is, you could do that very easily to their computer if you wanted to.

at the army base where we live, if you have a valid US driver's liscence, you can get in. I want to be in the CAP! that would be epic.
The CIA doesn't want to look like the CIA, they want to be secret. what regular company has armed security guards and all that stuff?

There's probably a more tactful way to handle this...something like:  Please produce some proof for your statements.  We really don't want to be calling people "liars" - it's not very friendly.
