i've been working on my project for a very long time, and when I uploaded my project, there was something wrong. Some 10 [probably] uploads later, i think fixed the scripting problem. but it still doesn't work. Could someone help me?

That's the easiest solution, yes. The Java player is extremely buggy, so most players understand that you need to download for best performance.

The player we have now (Java) does not work well with Scratch.

There are workarounds to some (though not all) online Java problems. Maybe if you gave a link to the project and described what part is acting funky we could determine if there is a workaround for your online problem.

Well, one thing for sure i know acts differently is when you click the start flag online, it doesn't reset the answer, so it skips a part of my script.
Anyway, here you go http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/undacovabroda45/1417327

Wow... that is really one odd glitch, the Java player is definitely skipping around with the script. Not sure why the Java player is doing this.

I debug the java offline using nick's method. It's faster because you don't upload. All you do is save the changes to the sb file and then run the html in your browser. Actually, once you have it loaded all you have to do is save, flip over to the browser and refresh. Plus, you can leave your best version uploaded while you experiment.
Hopefully v2.0 will end all of this.

I tried downloading that & it didn't seem to work.

I took a look at the project again, it seems that the bug occurs when trying to generate the fourth word in a word search list (notice that the list flashes red, indicating an error at that point). Maybe that might help pinpoint the problem.
