Oh and one TV show I don't like is.. oh I can't remember the name. I think it had Charlie on it. It's airing on Disney now. It's 2D vector animation about this kid and his monster friends I think. Not Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, but something else...

Spongebob in my opinion, was OK (Cuz I never really liked it anyways) in the first few seasons.

Then it got disturbing. Here is some proof:

The GOOD, OLD Spongebob episodes:
Pizza Delivery, from Seasons 1:
A funny episode with many jokes. They must deliver a pizza, and get lost, and its overall a nice, humorous episode. They even threw in a few jokes for older kids, which I like.

Your Shoes Untied, from Season 2:
A nice episode where spongebob can't tie his shoe. Not the best, but still a classic.

The DISTRUBING, NEW Episodes:
The Splinter, from Season 6:
Probably one of the most disturbing episodes.
Spongebob climbs up a stack of boxes. He falls down, almost getting killed by knives at the bottom. He is saved, but then slips and falls.

Then, in slow motion, it shows a zoomed in video clip of a splinter slowly puncturing through spongebob's finger. The finger is turning red, and green pus is seeping out. His thumb grows huge.

He is scared to pull it out. He asks Patrick for some help. Patricks way of helping is getting a SLEDGE HAMMER, and SMASHING the splinter INTO SPONGEBOB'S HAND MORE.

Spongebobs hand grows massive. He confronts Mr. Krabs about it. Mr Krabs plucks the splinter out. Then, a spray of pus, goop and dried blood is squirting in a massive waterfall at everyone.

The End.

Which is better? Funny episodes with some nice jokes here and there, or an episode ENTIRELY FOCUSED ON SOMEONE TREATING A WOUND BY POUNDING IT WITH A HAMMER. With sprays of green stuff.

Quote for truth. That was so disgusting! I had it on when I was eating lunch... I ran to the bathroom and puked.

Yawn, another boring text signature. I should really make something better.

Spongebob is centered on a five year old audience now. It's too bad.

Re: Kids TV shows these days...

I agree with most you have said. Joj2. I don't watch cartoons much anymore. They sort of fry your brain with uneducational violence. Cartoons just aren't as funny as they used to be. I'm hooked on Project Runway now. I think it's fun to watch. (when I do watch it.) I watch TV less now. I'm usually busy writing my story....

Yugioh 5Gs - Okay, I used to watch the original yugioh series. I'll admit it, it was okay, I didn't really get most of the dueling, but I liked the characters and thought the animation was interesting (in that anime esque style). They stopped showing it and that was that. THEN they came out with all these other series! I get it, to sell the cards. Without the show, the cards don't go. But what is this new thing? Speed racing while dueling? Bring motor sports into anything and all the sudden its magic! Aren't monster trucks and playing cards a great combo?

Card games on motorcycles!!!

I don't really watch tv anymore XD (the only thing I've watched this whole week was jurrasic park 2), I normally just watch random stuff online (like on utube), and play sc2

I am a huge trekkie now, especially because Star Trek (original) explores a lot of interesting social and racial themes and is more thoughtful and interesting then these violent, brain rotting and annoying cartoons.

lol  I had to watch all the original ones, and I liked it at first... but I hated it because:

• So much swaggering
• Kirk thinks he's the hottest person on Earth
• They speak rubbish ("...and this will set the volume to one to the fourth power!")
• I hate Kirk (he walks like he's so great, RAHHHHHHHHHHH)
• And more  tongue

See, I share EXACTLY THE SAME HATREDS! But I think it's funny because Kirk is just sooooo full of himself. But I'm a McCoy fangirl. Bones is my love.  big_smile

And a little more, the sci-fi element is interesting in terms of trying to decipher, but you have to realize, this is set 300 years in the future...in the 60's, lol!

My favorite 2 episodes?
1. Plato's stepchildren (a good reason: KIRK SLAPS HIMSELF!)
2. Gamesters of Triskelion (My awesome reason: KIRK GETS SHOCKED WITH A DOGGY COLLAR!)

You're a girl?  yikes
