Umm, the first time I played Portal I had never heard the characters name and didn't know I was a girl until I saw myself in a Portal paradox thing.
I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

I never knew the character was a girl until I saw the portal wikipedia page

Birdo.
I always thought "he" was a girl, because of his bowtie, but then I found out "he" was a boy.
*I say "he" because "he" desn't know "his" own gender, either, "he" thinks "he's" a girl. IRateGamer on YouTube said that.

You really shouldn't put relationships like that in series played by small kids.

I know one: Vivian, from Paper Mario 2. A lot of people think she's a girl, even Vivian herself. In actuality, however, she's a he. You can find this in the Japanese and French versions (and a pirated version of the Spanish version.) The reason they cut this out of the other versions was for...obscene reasons...
