Re: When Do I Turn From "New Scratcher" to "Scratcher"?

Recently on the forums, I saw a name with the word, "Member" under it, instead of "Scratcher" or "New Scratcher." What does that mean?

Ah - before the "Scratcher" and "New Scratcher" titles, everyone with those titles was called a "Member". All of the accounts which say "Member" are ex-Scratch Team or ex-moderator accounts, which is basically the same as a "Scratcher" ^^ For example, you can see that, in mletreat's I-Topic, he or she is a "Member" as the account was once a Scratch Team account  smile

They can't look in the Dustbin... The only changes are that they get invited to test beta software like the other mods, they get no 60-second rule, and they can edit their topic titles.

It's more about quality than quantity. If you continue to be a good member and stay in the "OK-"zone without any fights or anything, you should become a Scratcher soon enough. While being active is a factor, it's not the only one.  smile

Re: When Do I Turn From "New Scratcher" to "Scratcher"?

It's no fun being a new scratcher, you have no forum posts when other have thousands and you get barely any views and your confused.

Interestingly, you would need to post about 3-4 times a day, since scratch was created in 2007 to get 3,000 posts.

I have seen someone with 9,500 posts!!!! :0

I looked at one of mletreat's project, and it had a screenshot of a forum post.  Under her name it said "Scratch Team".  So that must be the answer to your question, Goliath1!

Re: When Do I Turn From "New Scratcher" to "Scratcher"?

I have no idea how long it takes to become a scratcher.
What I do know is that it takes far longer on the text-based games.
I saw guinea pig girl with 139 posts and still being a new TBger

Dunno. I know it said that since around the time that we changed member to scratcher.

It was early- to mid-June, from what I can remember. ^^
