I work hard on my projects, and I advertise with the Show and Tell forum, like many other Scratchers. But I'm tired of entering Show and Tell and seeing that other people's threads have been bumped up for no reason! There aren't that many new threads, and in many cases, bumping simply attracts people who've already viewed them to view them again when the threads haven't been changed at all! I've been seeing turret wars, VanillaCreme, be the 1000th viewer--for days and days. And I think it's a waste to post a reply that is just "bump" or a smiley face! The forum would be better off without them.
So I suggest that a rule is created.

I'm agreeing. I've seen these threads, and I can't help but be annoyed. I scroll down and I see a bunch of smiley faces to bump the topic- and that project gets front paged. I've used Show and Tell and only bumped my topic once or twice a day. I've never came close to being front paged- as well as so many others.
Make a rule to spread the views! I'm tired of those topics.

Yes, but I mean a more concrete rule to stop the meaningless bumps once and for all.

Front pagers fight dirty.
Nah, jk. Also, I disagree respectfully.

You can bump too...
I don't support. There's a rule in place that you should really only bump once a day.

But who's upholding that?
