How about a BBCode tag
[scratcher={scratcher's name here}] text [/scratcher]
for convenience? It would link the text to the scratcher's homepage.
Good for credits.
eg.
[scratcher=Hardmath123] Example [/scratcher]
Would make:
Example
without having to type
[url=scratch.mit.edu/users/Hardmath123]Example[/url]

Url code doesn't bother me much.

It seems useful in my opinion, but typing the other stuff doesn't seem like a big bother.

It seems like a lot of work to implement when it wouldn't even be that useful. Just use the url BBCode.

And also a [scratcher][/scratcher] tag!

Not a bad idea, I definitely support; but it depends on how much work would have to be implemented to add this.
*If* this was added, there could maybe also be [project=projectnumber][/project] code

I support! (am I the first one?)
it wouldn't be that hard to make, it just needs a code to put the name after http://scratch.mit.edu/users/.
