What I'm wondering is how servers have the name "http://weebly.com/" instead of "http://123.456.7.890/weebly/" (the 123.456.7.890 is the server's IP address, and the /weebly/ is the folder that holds the weebly website.) If I knew that, the I would have the TimeCraft website hosted by my computer.

i think it has something to do with the fact that internet hosting is very different.  when you're running the site off of your computer, all you're doing is accessing files from the given filepath.

this also means that you can't access a locally hosted site if you're not on the same LAN (i think that's true, not sure)

Ha! I got it! Here's the new site (just testing right now) srrcollab.dyndns.org Yes, it has a .dyndns.org extension, but it is basically just an IP mask. It's hosting from my computer. (Which means that it might be down a lot because my computer turns off and goes to sleep and such.)

Oh wait! How about... Ragnarok. Old Norse for end of the world... Which is Armageddon in our case. I think. Let me look that up...

btw names sound MUCH cooler if they have foreign accents in them.

#1 as you can see i have not been on this thread a whole lot. Im using my mom's pc at the moment to type this.
#2 You guys can just host from my server. Though it might not hold. We can use 1&1 for a domain
(they are 1.99 for email service and domain for .info's)

Yeah its a .info but they are way cooler than .com's. But we cpuld still do .com

I think my computer is okay for a server. Besides, I've set it up to go to sleep if I email it "--!@", which will stop all processes, meaning the website is unavailable.

Um... no we aren't. We still have to design the campaigns, which will probably take as long/longer than what we've done so far.

A lot of people don't think TimeCraft is very original or good. I don't need you to audition. (I gave up on that)

Trigonometry method
