I always wanted Tiny tempah's "Passout" to be used in a game. AC:Brotherhood is pretty much the first game advert to use that song. 
Super mario galaxy 2 is often given a 10/10 score.

Shellos was planned to be in Pokemon Ruby
The badges were planned to be items in the 1th gen
Also, the stone badge was planned to allow to throw stones on the foe's pokemon
Same with the water badge and mud
In the 1th gen exists an item "surfing board" which allows you to drive on the water without surf. But you could not find it
In the 4th gen exists an item named "sticker book" which was replaced by the sticker box
2000 a special pokemon game (forgot the name) based on a japanese board game was announced, but it was never programmed
