Browser Issues

I am new to the Scratch community so I hope this is the right place to post.  I trolled the forums for a bit and didn't find any answers, as most recommend using Firefox.

I just remixed a scratch programs and uploaded it here and it doesn't work in firefox and only half works in safari: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/infoeco/232518   I compressed the audio files before posting and that did not seem to affect the execution.

I also have another remixed project that doesn't execute at all in firefox but executes just fine in Safari: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/infoeco/232517

I am using: Firefox/2.0.0.16 and Version 3.1.2 and Mac OS 10.4.11 and Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_13-b05-241)

Re: Browser Issues

I have no explanation of why you are seeing differences between browsers...unless their implementations of Java differ in some respect.  Or possibly the setting for the Java environment differ.

It is not uncommon to problems with projects that work great in Scratch but not so well on the web.  These problems arise because of differences in event timing between the two environments as well as a few areas where the blocks are actually implemented differently.

I'm moving this to the Troubleshooting section.
