Winter Celebrations 2010!
Many of you may not have expected it like myself; but winter and Christmas are just creeping around the corner! Many Scratchers like myself have been busy with schoolwork, walking ourselves through bitter cold winds with our French homework sliding down our backs. It has come so quick that I was not properly prepared to say what I wanted for Christmas! When it comes to it; I was really dissapointed. I can't believe I'd forgotten about Christmas and the snow, but it's worth it because it brightens the atmosphere up. Like said by a fellow Scratcher, peppermint tastes better and the happiness can be felt in the very air. So what are you getting for Christmas, and are you looking forward to the snow if it's not come already?
Halloweens Effect...
One of the most communnity upbringing events of the year... Halloween! Yes, it has slowly faded into the brickwork as a weeks passes, but what did you make of it? Did you venture out into the dark in search of sweets, or did you stay at home? Personally I don't do Halloween anymore as I'm older, but I feel the bitter childhood dissapointment when I see younger children dressed up, remembering how I'd eat most my sweets before I'd make it back home. Anyway, did you get hit by Mischief Night? I did. Some people threw Jelly in plastic packets over my garden fence which my dog decided would be a preppy meal. Nom. Discuss!
Featured Project!
In the what seems far away edition #6, I mentioned bringing out an advertisment section at the very bottom of the page. Instead I decided to do it In a more creative way; selecting my favourite project and saying what I like best about it. Well for a first time; here it goes. Neopolitans Ice cream - This project is my overall favourite. I mean, with it's unique design and idea, catching ice cream could never have been funner. Along with some suiting music; this is one of Scratch's best games yet.
Forum Spotlight: Miscellaneous!
Last edition also spotlighted Misc; but since last edition was around 4 weeks ago, there isn't really a huge need for change. There has been little interest about Christmas yet, I was surprised not to see Polls and what not about what other Scratchers were getting! I definate effect on the community has come from steppenwulfs Call of Duty topic, the excitment among people who have preordered it is immense! Are you getting it?
User Interview: Telemachus.
This is the main shell of the conversation I had with Telemachus about being a Nominee for Community Moderator 2010. Here it is:
Question One) Where you nervous about anything, when putting yourself down as a nominee?
Question Two) What was it like finding out that you were a candidate?
Question Three) Once chosen as a candidate, did you ever feel like you had come too far and were not ready? (Like KileyMeister said.)
Question Four) What would be your main concern as a Moderator, ie, spam, helping etc; ?
Question Five) Do you like Scratchers Inforumer!?
1. Definitely. I was nervous that I was in a whole different league than the other nominees, and that they would blow me out of the water. Thankfully everyone was so supportive and helpful, and it was a great experience.
2. It was really an honour for me, because I knew that the Scratch Team trusted me to the job of moderating. I was overjoyed, but saddened to see that some great nominees did not make the candidate list.
3. That never really happened to me. I committed myself to the job as soon as I put down my name on the nominee's thread, and from then on it was a matter of the opinions of others.
4. Probably helping around the community, and resolving issues. It's a great feeling to know that you are helping others, and thankfully I can perform nearly the same tasks in my current state.
5. Of course! I haven't missed a single issue, and I'm looking forward to future editions!
Scratch on!

Sorry about this edition being extremely postponed, so I'll cut to the thanks. Thanks to Telemachus for the interview and the readers who have been so suportive throughout my campaign as writer of the Inforumer. Scratch on!

Oh, well I just usually glance at it, so I didn't notice that.
Um... what about this as a featured project? I think it's awesome, and the fact that it's only one sprite is downright incredible. I couldn't even do this with more than one sprite.

Hmm, about the forum spotlight - how about featuring different threads instead of forum sections? That way the selections could be more broad.

Great. A bit longer than the others which is good.

I'll think I'll take you're idea into action. I'll keep the spotlighting of a forum, then delve into more dept and take a closer look at the threads on the forum and the genre/trend that seems to be common.

1000 orders? Uh... okay, but why would you want it on paper when it's free online?
You just want to chop down trees and destroy the ozone layer

It never stops amazing me how you can create each issue so quick! It would take me weeks to put together anything near as good and informative as this! I hpoe you don't stop making these anytime soon, it's great for if you've just pooped on the forums and you want to know what's going on.
