I have many questions:
1.) What is Flash?
2.) Student's Discount? I've never heard of that!
3.) Why are they so expensive!? Couldn't you just buy Photoshop and things at the store?
4.) Don't most computers come with Photoshop or things like that? Mine did!

1.) Go to addictinggames.com and play a game. Guess what it was created with?
2.) A discount for students because the programs are very expensive
3.) They would still be expensive!
4.) No it didn't, you need to buy it. Don't confuse it with paint

My School was a private school and it was poor... It was forced to close because of money and enrollment issues. It was really sad,
but, they had a photoshop on EVERY computer there... but they couldn't afford it, how'd they get it?

Yeah, CS3 is a LOT different from my photoshop (Element 6.0) but it's still pretty awesome. It took me about a month or so to learn.

Anyone know any good tutorial sites for any of those programs? Preferably Flash CS3 or Photoshop?

Try searching them. There is usually always some tutorials on there
I'm going to miss you because you were a great Scratcher! Good luck with those new programs! I think you'll be ready for them anyways.

Enjoy the new toys! I see some brain expansion in your future. Scratch will still be here if you need a break from text-based coding and syntax errors!

I tried to learn flash. But then I sorta gave up. Action Script is really hard. I have Flash 8, Photoshop 11 (i think), and Corel Draw 13. My dad got them for free at his office. I also have the Source SDK, so I can make FPS with the same engine they make Half-Life 2 with! It's free too, but only if you have a Steam acount and have downloaded Steam (also free).

Now I might not even come back. All this spam lately from certain members and nasty comments, and I just can't take it. you can thank Bosox397 for pushing me over the edge (I usually don't use names, but that's how mad I am right now)

For Flash help, try FlashKit's tutorial section for a bunch of good tutorials. They also have some forums (sound familiar?
) that are full of people who are friendly and ready to help you with programming and whatnot (remind you of anything?). Kirupa is also a good site for people like me who dabble in a lot of design/coding programs but aren't really great at a lot of them. They are "a...resource for making designers better developers"; exactly what I need! Plus, they have a whole bunch of links to other tutorial sites on the right, saving me a whole lot of typing. HotScripts has a whole lot of components/movie clips/tutorials/.fla's/code if you really don't feel like making something yourself (again, like me). Finally, Adobe's Built-In Support is great for hearing what the guys who wrote the program in the first place have to say. And, if you have any questions, I'm there for any animation tips (don't ask me about ActionScript) or Photoshop questions. Have fun with your new toys!
