"Alright class, do the best project you can. This is the first time you're using Scratch so I don't expect much."
*1 hour later*
"Ooh, a bouncing ball! Good work. Nice, a dancing Scratch Cat. Hey what's this? Wait... OMG ITS A FULL SCROLLING PLATFORMER THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!"

Did that really happen? Wow. Me and Albertt911 can surprise people with pretty much nothing.
*We make a Pong game. It's easy.*
"WOW! Seriously, did YOU do that?!"
"Yep. We just did."
"...*gasp*

I was working with a group of kids after school because they were trying to learn how to use Scratch, and we all had to make an animation about the Scratch Cat going to the movies. I put something together in a few minutes, and it was really simple- A cat gliding to the theater doors (Shrinking as he got closer to make it look more realistic), going inside the theater, ordering popcorn, then he entered the theater room where I made a black and white title screen doing the 3-2-1 countdown thing, and had the brightness effect flicker to make it look like an old movie. Everyone was, like "OMG
YOU'RE A GENIUS." And I had to explain everything to them.
And once, when everyone else was practicing, I made a quick, unrealistic, gravity simulation, and everyone was amazed.
But then the teacher showed them the Scratch website...

"It's obvious, really."
"SHOW US!"

No, although I discovered Scratch because at the beginning of the year we got new computers in our PC Lab, and our teacher wanted us to "test out" this new program... then I went home and downloaded it then waited for 6 months and only then did I actually start making good projects and understand more stuff on Scratch

Yeah, I really love it when...
"So, Helltank, what'd you create?"
"Nothing much, just a short this is sparta thing."
"OMG!!!!"
*turns to the class*
"HELLTANK IS AWESOME! HE CREATED A THIS IS SPARTA REMIX! OMG U MUST BE AN EXHACKER OR SOMETHING!"
"That's nothing."
*shows the guy a 08jackt game*
"Wait... 08jackt is Bill Gates right?"
"No, he's a random dude."

I used to Scratch at school (there was a programming class that used Scratch to teach C++), but I go to a different school now and their computers don't have Scratch. Now if I want to Scratch at school I have to bring my laptop.

Ah. You should tell them you're a mod! They'd install it then!

Nah, that won't work. The school I go to is specifically designed for engineers in mind - MATLAB trumps Scratch any day over there.

You've probably never tried MATLAB, huh? It's really cool once you get to know how to work with it.
I think it's more of an opinion of the person using it. For someone who's into, say, games or animation, Scratch would be more awesomer than MATLAB. If were talking about engineers who need to, say, create GUI's, MATLAB is more awesomer.

Nope but I'm trying to convince my impact teachers to use it.
