Updating Games

I just noticed something. Scratch doesn't support updating games. No one really wants to upload two and delete one.. So, why not make it a feature. Scratch, please support game updating.

Re: Updating Games

You can update projects by uploading with the exact same name.

(Although I wish there was a way to track versions of projects...)

Re: Updating Games

A way to add "updates" to a project so people could track the various versions and have the new version show up as a new project (or maybe a new section called "recent updates" or similar) would but nice. But like JTxt said, just upload with the same name.

Re: Updating Games

If you upload a project with the same name as one that is on the website already, the new project will replace the old.

Re: Updating Games

Yeah, that's how you do it, i kept putting things like V1.2 and deleting the old one, wasted so much time!  lol   big_smile

Yes. It simply replaces the old content, not the old project entirely.

there is a way but i don't do it... you first upload the project with the same name as you said... but then you can add+ version 1 or 2 for example... smile

He means like have a history of all the different versions, how many views each one got, etc.
