True, but that was pretty much an epic failure.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of the Kinect. I can see it working well for some games, but not for others. For example, how would you play a game like Forza Motorsport or Halo only with body gestures? If Microsoft and the developers can make it work, then that's great. But in my opinion, why not just use a Wii? It's already well established and has developers making games for it, plus the Wiimote is an effective motion controller well suited to various forms of gameplay. It can function as a motion wand, or as a controller with traditional thumbstick controls when it needs to be.
