copying sprites

I need to copy some sprites for a project,but scratch keeps giving me a hard time.
Does anyone know how I can do this?

Right click the sprite and export it. Than go to choose new sprite from file, and choose that sprite

Do that if you're going to copy sprites between different projects. Right click on the sprite and click duplicate if you're going to duplicate it inside just one project.
