comment posting? Spammers can easily spam our comments without a comment post time lock. Why not make one?

Because the forums weren't created by the Scratch Team whereas the comment system was. Also, it's a lot easier to spam the forums and way more people will do it: you can post links, images, etc. on the forums, and you don't have the 500 character limit; comments get much less exposure than forum posts.

There's actually another thread about this idea, this one.

What if some people started spam chainmail? Trust me, chain mail, is an epidemic. Once started, no stopping.

Chain Mail?
Jk lol
But I've seen plenty of these messages already, they shouldn't be much of a problem though.

Go to roblox.com Go to the game section. Go to ANY game. Scroll down. Go to the comments.
Now. See how bad Scratch could be? Make it like a 1 minute, same for the forums. 600 seconds is way too much. (Or maybe 3 minute for the forums)

It's only 600 seconds for New Scratchers. Scratchers only have a 1 minute time limit. I also disagree that a time limit on the comments would really do anything if Scratch had such a problem. (Which it doesn't.) Chain comments are a problem because a ton of people repost them, not one person posting over and over.
