You're welcome ;D
But really, I should be thanking you for giving me something to curate.
Also, seeing that this is a thread about curating, I might as well give some advice for people who might become curator:
Plan something. I started my time being curator with absolutely no idea what I was going to curate. And, eventually, I ran out of projects- In my last week, I believe I only curated four different projects ^^ (And be sure to plan for a two-week time.. I thought being curator only lasted one week, so yeah, I ended up kind of rushing my selections, but I think in the end I curated a nice bunch.)
So, yeah.. Thats all I got.

I should plan ahead...? Oh, well, uh...
I actually planned to curate lots of pen games and animations, but a lot of my plans were deleted, so now I have 2 weeks to come up with a new topic! I think I'll just do a different topic every two days.
Thanks for the tips, Ruffle! I'll go plan now!

I would still love to be a curator
As I have said, I tend to lean to the gaming side. But I also love the occasional "Simple" project that just is a really great idea. Projects like:
-Songs made from only scratch blocks like this. (My project, I won't curate that!)
-Projects that would act as a recourse to others: This (Mine again )
-Projects that have an great idea like this (Won't curate that, too popular)
I would also curate projects that are just amazing.

Hi, I'm Joeylego and I'd like to be a curator on the Scratch website.
I like projects that don't get a lot of views, but are high-quality and very fun to see.
I have to say my favorite kinds of projects are games, because they seem like the funnest to see and play.
If I were a Scratch curator, I'd pick projects that aren't JUST games, but probably mostly games. However, I would pick a variety, such as puzzle, acrion/adventure, and RPG's.
Thanks for your time!!! -Joeylego, (Hopefully a future Scratch Curator!) ;-)

Well, I'm going to try again, as I didn't fully specify in my first attempt. I'll keep it simple this time around, and try to stick to what I would select.
I'd like to be a curator for Scratch. I would curate projects which are relatively unnoticed, but contain original or innovative programming techniques. The projects I would choose would be grounded in either science or math, and would most likely be simulations.
Some examples:
1. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/brian_rocks/1309332 (Great concept and original execution)
2. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/unknown … ob/1315901 (Great idea!)
And many more

When applying to be curator, it's good to give some thought to the kind of projects you'd like to show. "Cool projects that most people have never seen!" is a nice idea, but it doesn't really give us a good sense of what you like and why. We want to know what makes a project interesting to you.
Try viewing the projects in your favorites, and see if you can find a theme that describes them. Talk about that theme in your post, and consider providing a few links to good examples of that theme.
For example, I really like projects that use sound input from the microphone to draw interesting designs on the screen. Here's an example of one that I recently added to my favorites: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/MitFan/874786
Recalling this, everyone? Remember to follow this if you really would like to become a curator!

This sounds a little off topic, but this is probably the most replied-to thread!

I don't think that's going to help. You need to prepare a speech.

well, are you 100% sure that was sarcasm? Even if it most likely was, that doesn't make it right to assume. Good you're enforcing the rules, though.

I would not like to suggest myself as curator, but my friend Adventurest1.
She loves Scratch and she loves all types of projects. I bet she would choose wisely with which projects she chose, and I would make sure she doesn't choose any of mine She's a very intelligent person, and would be perfect for the job of curator.
Thank you for your time, and Scratch On!

In light of Lightin's recent post I'm going to rewrite what i would curate.
A good deal of projects that get on the front page these days seem to be prank projects or have minimal programing (ie-press space to see art! not that these are bad- just taking up more room then they should be. and also the recent "Squidward falls while i play unfitting music" projects. there were 3 on the front page the other day). I would curate games that haven't gotten many views. Games take a lot of work. I would like to see the Scratchers who take the time to create awesome games that take a while to make and put a lot of effort into their programming. Thank you for taking the time to read this and i hope you consider me.Some examples: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/johndo77/1268894 really great choices game
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/PacMan3/1273798 Dot Game by PacMan3- i tried to get this featured!
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/HelenWonky/1116484 awesome game based on the big bang theory!i have found some more projects i would like to curate!
RocketBoy by dayuppy
into the death star 3d by lizard657
portal bounce also by lizard657
Ball 1.2 by TheCreatorGuy
i would really like to see all these on the front page.

Make sure you are checking your email and your messages. i got a message saying something like "are you still interested in being curator? if so, contact us...blah blah blah" something like that. so you have to make sure you check your messages often.
also, for everyone who expects to be chosen one week and be curator the next, you're going to have to be more patient than that; i got a message about it like, 2 weeks after i made my speech, then i emailed them about it and had to wait like 3 days to get a reply, then when they replied, it said i was going to be a curator in early november, i got that message in mid september. so you are going to have to wait a while if you get picked, trust me.

yeah i check my messages and e-mail at least every 3 days I can't wait to see what you curate
