Advice.
1) Don't yell at people for using an idea you had- try to do a collaboration with them!
2) If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.
3) Follow the rules of the Scratch website.
4) If you dislike something, no need to be rude! Just say what you don't like about it to them, and maybe they will change it.
5) Flag, don't fight.
6) Don't argue- It only makes things worse. Debating and arguing are different things.

Good advice
Might I suggest
5) Flag, don't fight.
I hope nobody else adds more advice or this will turn into a TBG.

So, if someone steals an idea of mine, I should be like "Hey, let's work together"? I don't think real life works like that

What, are Scratch ideas different from regular ideas? No

Not mine specifically
I think what he's referring to is stealing something from star on the TBGs
And I'm not involved, so I'm just going to stop talking about it
Idea stealing is still wrong

Star would have a missile halfway to your house before you would have the time to type 'I'm sorry.'

Agreed. Definately agreed.
If someone steals, I will probably not work with them and not ever want to. Especially with my fakemon. NOBODY steals my fakemon and doesn't get at least a small rant.

Agreed. If anyone steals an idea from me, then they'd get ranted at from me. Plagarism's illegal (Although since when do crazy people care about laws?), and just plain wrong.

Agreed. Plagarize me, control my charries, etc. makes me very rant-ish. You'd get ranted at, and at least one weapon thrown at your skull.

To ScratchThatGuys: Listen buddy, it's really not your job to tell us what we already know. Especially as a newbie poster you shouldn't be making topics like this. The only person who should be making/telling guidelines to us is either the mods or the scratch team. Another protip: don't try to be a suck-up or someone who tries to get people to go into line, that's a very hateable person you decide to become if you continue to make threads like this.

Harsh comments like this are also disliked by moderator and the Scratch Team.
Guidelines can certainly be made by normal users (there are even so many guidelines written by those who are not Scratch Team or Scratch moderators that are part of our ITopics), so please don't be so quick to dismiss guidelines made by non-Scratch Team or non-Moderators.
Here's a protip: If you think a topic is questionable, it's better to flag it so the moderators and Scratch Team can look over the content and take the appropriate action if necessary.
Another protip: It's one thing to disagree with a topic subject, it's another thing to suddenly start bashing other users for making them. Although all Scratchers have their disagreements, it's important to keep comments respectful and within the Terms of Use on the Scratch website.

Cheddargirl, I understand where you're coming from, and I agree with everything that you've said. However I'm sure there are atleast several other forum users that think the same thing I do. I'm not trying to put the guidelines down, they make sense. But it's not anything that hasn't been said before.

It doesn't ever hurt to have a reminder every once in a while. Even sometimes the most obvious of things are overlooked at times. (In fact, by your harsh comment, it looks like you could use a review of #2 to 6 from Scratchthatguys guidelines
).

I never follow that rule, being the hypocrite I am, but I've never really liked it. Because if all we are saying is nice things, then no one would be being constructive, we'd all just be marshmallows that lied, and people would get all big-headed and annoying because people are only saying nice things. And you'd never be able to get an honest opinion. You should probably just say "Be respectful." Or something. Or just get rid of that one, because its pretty much the same as 4
But, anyway, whats the point of this thread? All of this stuff is in the TOU
