Lol, mine worst fail of epicness ever was when I didn't know how to hide sprites, so I had a separate costume that was just a dot, lol...
Lol that must've took you a long time if you made a huge game with loads of sprites
Yuppers, it did.
But then I saw this
[blocks] <hide> [/blocks]
and
[blocks]<show>[/blocks]
blocks,
then I thought,I wonder what those do...
so I double click on the
[blocks] <hide> [/blocks]
block, and then my sprite disappears.
I think,What the heck?
and
I hate being a n00b c4l<3
then I thought, the
[blocks]<show>[/blocks]
block must do something, so I double click on it too,
then my sprite reappears, and I thinkWow. I am such a n00b c4l<3 to have not known about that.
and then I waste my time deleting all the costumes and changing the scripts, and at the end of it all I said:
...
and... well yeah, thats about it.
I have no idea why I typed it like that, I mostly just felt like it, and was looking for something to do.
... that's... funny?

My beginner fail:
My first time ever designing a sprite, I kept noticing the sprite turning upside down as the sprite suddenly moved from right to left. So, everytime I designed a sprite, I designed it with two costumes, one costume facing left, the other one facing right. I got so tired of creating duplicate costume and was peeved about the costumes using up so much space... and then I noticed that wee tiny button next to the sprite image on top of the costume tab.

I'm still new to scratch- this is probably my first week on, or so.. But I already made a very big mistake!
I was programming for about 1 to 2 hours on this one project about the every-day items of my new race. Then suddenly, my computer wanted to turn off! I quickly rushed to the "save" button, and saved it as "Items" in the "My projects" folder. My computer turned off, and when I turned it back on, I couldn't find my project! I was so frustrated.

Introduce yourself here!
Please Post your All-Time Beginner Fails, give us guys a heads up!
Thankyou!
Well, so far my All-Time epic Beginner Fail is this;
I spent 1 and a half hours tryign to make another maze game, i tried to share it, but the file size was to big! But that's not all, i tried to delete some more stuff, still wouldn't work, then i tried to convert the movement of some things to reduce the script.
Well it worked pretty well, so i decided to copy all of that script onto my other sprites, i clicked the green flag, and they all appeared in the same co-ordinates,
FACE-PALM FAIL D: I just ended up ruining and deleting 1 and a half hours of work.
Well, so far my all-time epical beginner fail
So go ahead, don't be embarassed, post your Fails!
Hah hah that's funny. When I first started, i spent like three hours tring to figure out how to repeat a song lol!!!!

I know. I didn't learn until I was scratching for a month! Luckily I didn't get an account until I thought I was pretty good! Turns out, I epically failed by saving all of the video game sprites I used as .JPG files! Then I couldn't edit them easily or make the outsides clear d:0)

Here's my fail.
Hmm... what's this? A programming language for everyone. Okay...
Wait... I can make games?
OMG IM GOING TO MAKE THE NEXT HALO GAME!
WAIT THIS DOESNT WORK ARGHHHHHH HALP HALP!!!!!
Offline
Ahhh...I remember when I finally found blocks went together...
Hmmm, I'll try putting this <mouse down?> block on this <hide> block!
Doesn't do anything! Maybe if I make a new sprite it'll work!
It still doesn't work!!! Why wont the mouse hide???
Scrap that, what shall I make... I KNOW! A multiplayer shooter game!!! It'll be epic!!!
Now, where to start? I know I'll make this sprite broadcast 'shoot'. Then I will nearly be done!
...
*facepalm*
