How many rpms are needed to lift a 2 ilbs pay load, like a rapter drone? Im building a model romote control plane thing for fun and i need a light wight powerful motor. Do you know i site were i can get one less than 2ibls with the required rpms? Egh, i have blueprints and im working on the areodinamics, i just need a small lightwieght powerful motor

Make sure to get an engine more than capable of lifting the required weight. Are you using an electric motor / magnet or a petrol. Because you are using fuel you need to count for that weight as well.
The cheap way to work on aerodynamics is to use paper (paper planes) .Attach paper clips to simulate weight distribution.
Know what your plane weighs. This will show you the lift force you need to generate vertically.

Your lift force will be a component of the force supplied by the engine. Based on wing angle, flap angle, friction, aerodynamics (air resitance).
Say your plane had these specs.
Weight: 5kg
Angle: 30 degrees to horizontal. (The angle of the lift to the horizontal)
Gravity is about 9.8ms^-2
So the minimum lift force you need will be.
F = Mass * Gravity
5*9.8 = 490N up every second
As you can see you will need 848.7 N of horizontal force to make the plane fly.
Which is 47.15km/h.
You will have to work out yourself the angle of lift to the horizontal.
