My first scratch game 'Connectorius' - a shooting game

Hi,

I've put together a Scratch game I've called 'Connectorius'
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/SonicPopsDad/228307

Can you guys take a look and suggest some improvements?

Currently it has a technical problem... the way the music plays whilst playing, it's possible to play for up to 8 seconds after you run out of Power before the game actually stops.   I've asked for some technical help here, so please dive in if you can help! http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=57687#req_message

But I'm really interested in what I can add to the gameplay...

At the moment the game finishes when you've used up your allotted Power.

I think it's quite good that it stops after a short time, it makes it a nice 'pick up and play' game, where it doesn't take long to try to beat your previous high score.  So although I thought it might be fun to have some bonus targets to hit, to re-add some power back into the meter, I wonder if that might extend the game too much?

I'd also like to change the scoring... maybe add the ability to get 'combos' for hitting only long streaks of a single colour...?

I've got to tweak the penalties for hitting the black targets (they're not strong enough at the moment!).

My original plan was that when hitting 3 targets of a colour that lines would get drawn around each of the targets, and anything 'captured' inside the area would add to the score.  Would that be good?  Or too complicated?  (It might be too hard for me to code anyway!)

Any thoughts and remixes welcomed  smile

That would be nice, if they were very rare and/or fast moving.

If you could do that, it might be interesting, but it would be very difficult not to catch a black target, and the game is fine without it.

It's a very cool game, and the sound effects are nice!  smile

I am indeed  smile

edit: v01.02 has bee uploaded, the music handling is improved, and consequently the game now finishes as soon as you run out of Power.  And you now get a warning (your sight changes colour) when you're running low  smile
