Hi! My 3 boys have signed up to Scratch so I thought I'd sign up to. I'm mum to the children with the user names: blueheghogsonic, softtoydinosaur, and weegeemalleo. They have been having a lot of fun with the Scratch program. The one with the username blueheghogsonic does have Autism which is probably why some of his are a bit odd. His twin, username softoydinosaur, has Aspergers Syndrome and ADHD. Weegeemalleo is their big brother's username. My username is Aspie (which is a person with Aspergers Syndrome) Mum (because I am a mum).
Hello! It's nice to hear you introduced your children to Scratch. I hope to see them around the forums as well as on projects!
The twins are 10, so too young for forums, and my oldest is 13 but not presently interested in any forums (not sure if he is old enough for the Scratch one anyway but he might be old enough at 13 as you are on some forums). They do a lot of projects though.

If there is anything anyone can tell me that will be useful for my Scratch experience, that would be much apriciated.
Welcome to Scratch!
A good place to start could be the topics here and here. Feel free to ask for help too if you need it.

And they introduced me to Scratch rather than the other way round.

What are you talking about? There's no age limit. And the forums aren't inappropriate.

He's right. Forums on scratch are supposed to be friendly and help you out. I'm 12 and I use the forums everyday. I understand your good parenting but i think you should let them use the "all about scratch" forum to help them out on their scripting. It's great that your family with special needs(no offence...) is finding a great hobby to play with together:)

Oddly enough, scrolling backgrounds are actually Sprites. Here's a ScrollX tutorial (scrolling horizontally). Click here. And for ScrollY, change the 480's to 360's.

Welcome to my choclate factory! Oh...wait. Wrong opening line. Welcome to Scratch! Prepare for a magical journey of epic destiny! No, not really. You'll program and have fun.
Oh, and out of curiosity (spelled that wrong, didn't I), why do you have like forty trillion spaces in between "hi" and "i?"

Well, hi everyone. Though, introducing myself isn't the main reason I'm posting here - I am wondering why I can not post a new topic on the Miscellaneous sub-forum. Could anyone explain to me? Thanks >.<
Btw, lasc, you spelt curiosity right xD

Hey TheFirstMuffinMan, New Scratchers are currently unable to post in the Miscellaneous subforum - you will need to wait until your title changes from 'New Scratcher" to "Scratcher".
