Re: Pokemon School

Thank you. I didn't actually look at yours until after I was done. Also, I make tons of non-pokemon sprites, so I know what I'm doing.

Re: Pokemon School

shouldn't we have a curve because we are beginners? you never showed us step by step. you just said "add the tail" "recolor" that kind of stuff... you show us pictures of each step... like "attach the left foot and recolor with the dark yellow" or something.

Re: Pokemon School

I think that pikachu and nuzleaf are kind of hard to splice... there aren't that many features... I'll try anyways.

Re: Pokemon School

Once you take the Splicing test...

Lesson 2: Making a Fakemon...

Method 1: Using some parts of other pokemon

1. Come up with an idea. I'll make a bomb guy.

2. Find a pokemon and decide what parts you are going to use. I'll use Oddish: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/43.png
3. Decide what parts to use. I'll use the legs and body. http://i54.tinypic.com/5mieso.gif
4. Delete the other parts. http://i54.tinypic.com/20trocj.gif
5. Recolor the part you are using. I'll use blacks. http://i51.tinypic.com/25rf2c7.gif
6. Add the details you want. I'll add the top of the bomb, fuse, and flame http://i53.tinypic.com/n507sg.gif

7. Pick types: I'll use Fire and Steel

8. Pick a name. I'll use Hetplode.

Final Hetplode Sprite: http://i53.tinypic.com/n507sg.gif

Homework: Make any Fakemon using this method. Then I teach method 2, From scratch fakemon

I graded it how you graded ours.

Wait. I forgot something. Overall grade: 87.5% B+
note for next time you make grades: either
1-grade it easier especially because were beginners... ( but your mistake was mostly how you graded and taught it... You can't grade for something that might look a little bad for you, other people may think it looks perfect. You should be lucky I gave you a b.)
2-wait until you are professional at making sprites.
For mapping school, I'm following rule 1. It's much easier an leaves a much better impression. There are no bad students, (well maybe some) but there are only bad teachers. If you grade us saying we didn't do it well, than you should have taught it until we did it well. You shouldn't grade assignments like that. That's the main reason why I quit. Of course I can always follow your teachings and just ask wii or robo how it looks... Sorry if this sounded mean but that's what I think...

Re: Pokemon School

Hmm . . . I  would do a psychic fish, but I'll same that for the from scratch lesson . . .

I'll do a ghost-type thing. Thinking of what it will be . . .

. . .

. . .

. . .

. . .

. . .

. . . I don't want to fill this post up with ". . .", so I'll just end here and not record my thoughts.

Good idea! I'm gonna use it. But I'll probably rename it Spiritstone. (I was never that good at making names though xD)
